I have one Sadat story. Brand Nubian and Leaders of the New School opened for Shabba Ranks at the Apollo. I guess it was around '90. I can't remember exactly. After the show, 125th. St. was flooded with grimey dudes. As I'm walking west from the Apollo, who do I see chilling by his damn self like a regular dude on the street? Sadat X. I remember thinking this is a real live dude. He handed out a few low key pounds and I figured I'm getting one too. Solid dude.
