Thanks for the demo...you've saved me time & $ by doing this. We need to remember in our observations, however, that whether using a magnet or electromagnet, the iron filings become magnets and will align themselves accordingly.

Excellent! I wonder how things would look if you wrapped a coil around the fluid square. ie, warping a coil so that it envelops the frame with the fluid is between both sides.

Recently, it is getting to be interested in the relation of quantal physics and order of the universe. As to Magnetic Field Demonstrations in this video, it is really interesting as well. If wire's edge is one point on the plate, the magnetic field is going in a circle. When we think about every planet, every shape of the planets is going in a circle. The universe authority is magnets. So, we may be able to understand that every planet has one portal state among the force of the universe. In another word, the magnetic field of the earth is going around in a circle and is pulling every being on the earth with gravity. Our bodies are also effected by magnetic fields. Our cell in the body is made of almost rounded colloid. A molecule of water has 2 atoms of hydrogen and one of oxygen. Atom is made of nucleus and electron. Magnets forming the circular accelerator pull atomic particles. In the universe, the magnetic force can pull atomic particles around the 4-mile track, 50,000 times per second. If the balance of the magnets in living creatures have to protect their bodies from the universal magnetic force that is stronger than them. So, most of the organization of the body has 2 portals in the whole body. 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 arms, 2 legs and so on. I think it is because of the energy field. If there are 2 portals in one field, the magnets force blows up and down. When the magnets force blows up and down, our particles can not collide. If we do not have the magnetic force that can blow up and down, we can not have 2 portals in everything also within humans and animals. It can be said that it is not only biology but our soul or spirit. By The Nag Hammadi Library, it was written: " The rulers took Adam and put him in the garden, that he might cultivate it and keep watch over it. They issued a command to him, saying, “From every tree in the garden shall you eat, but from the tree of knowledge of good and evil don’t eat, nor touch it. For the day you eat from it you will surely die. They said this to him, but they did not understand what they said. Rather, by the father’s will, they said this in such a way that he might in fact eat, and that Adam might not regard them as would a man of an exclusively material nature. " Therefore, " good and evil " are also 2 portals in terms of soul or spirit or mind. The supreme being had opened the 2 portals and given those to humans. And, I understand that Gods have 2 portals. They offer the choice that " good or evil " to us.

Did you use AC or DC current for this btw? Although I don't think it would have changed the results much, maybe AC would make the Iron fillings oscillate more? I'm still learning about electromagnetism. I want to do a few experiments of my own like this, love the method of using iron fillings in a suspension to map field lines.
@GamerTheTurtle
@GamerTheTurtle Жыл бұрын
you need a waveform that dont change sign if it goes from -12v to 12v for example the field cancels out and probably wouldn't be very apparent in 60hz/ would cause some vibration effect, and even then with a half wave the field would probably move to much

Hello, I have a question. Great video by the way. My instructor energized a 500 ft. coil of wire, (or 167 yards) in a temporary magnet demonstration. He then inserted a screwdriver in the center of the coil. The screwdriver became a magnet. But once he inserted the screwdriver and it didn't work, he then turned the coil on the other end and it then magnetized the screwdriver. I thought the atoms just needed to be aligned, and their direction didn't matter. If it did matter, what is the correct direction? Or, why didn't it work once?

why is thee a void between the coil and the closest field/iron powder particles?
@GertStegeman
@GertStegeman 6 жыл бұрын
syd Hastings There’s no real void. It’s the silicone that hold the glass together and prevents the oil to leak out. Normally the particles would go all the way to the coil.

Hi, Nice demonstration. Now do a demonstration using the same appliance but with non magnetic filings would be nice. This would show the pattern of the electric field only. This way the viewer could see that the pattern is the same but how electric field and magnetic are different and react to material in the same way. BOB

there is a "viscosity" of the powder that makes different pieces of it stick together and others separate. If this wasn't the case it would be harder to see the lines. Think about why water droplets fall from the water tap instead of a continuous thin line of water, it's basically the same reason. The magnetic field is everywhere it's just that in the gaps there is nothing to "feel" it
@GertStegeman
@GertStegeman 6 жыл бұрын
This ‘gap’ is the silicone paste to hold the plexiglass together and prevents the oil to leak out. Otherwise the particles would go all the way to the coil.

On helping I would like to speak with someone who knows about physics and science

Does the number or coils matter? Like for example. 1. Would more coils change the shape of the pattern? 2. In the last muilti coil, if the coils were of different turns for each coil, would that affect the shape of the magnetic lines?
@UniServeScienceVIDEO
@UniServeScienceVIDEO 10 жыл бұрын
Hi 1) It would stay in the same pattern (but the magnetic field strength would increase) 2) Slightly as it would increase the magnetic field strength - but you would not really notice much difference in the pattern.

UniServeScienceVIDEO Ok thank you for your response. I have one other follow -up question. Could you direct me to where i can find information (or can you let me know) this: A magnetic field is generated in a coil when power is hooked up, but is a magnetic field also generated in just a straight piece of copper wire? If not, then why is it that it only happens to coils? I google a lot, but im not getting any leads on this.
@solarfluxman8810
@solarfluxman8810 7 жыл бұрын
Yes. A magnetic field is produced around a straight piece of copper wire, when a current passes through the wire. Using your left hand, point the thumb in the direction of electron current flow, and wrap your fingers around the wire. The fingers indicate the direction of the magnetic flux around the wire.

I believe it is interesting to see how energy moves in patterns depending on the shapes or positions of the energy field. Awesome ! But what about 3d? My theory is that if we can make an unstable pattern on a sphere (magnetic) and do the opposite on the convex side and close the system . Well My theory said that it will spin and loose weight and of course gravity so we can levitate. Or escape with almost no energy.
@z08840
@z08840 9 жыл бұрын
Enrique Nates which energy? what is "unstable pattern"? magnetic moment has nothing to do with gravity - at least on this stage of history of our universe your theory seems a nonsense
