Elizabeth Truss Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, addresses the general debate of the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 20-26 September 2022).
British Prime Minister Liz Truss told world leaders, “the story of 2022 could have been that of an authoritarian state, rolling its tanks over the border a peaceful neighbor, and subjugating its people. Instead, it's a story of freedom fighting back, in the face of rising aggression, we've shown that we have the power to act and the resolve to see it through.”
Delivering her speech at the high-level General Assembly Debate in New York today (21 Sep), the British Prime Minister reiterated, “this must be a new era, where we commit to ourselves, to our citizens and this institution that we will do whatever it takes, whatever it takes to deliver for our people and defend our values.”
Prime Minister Truss also reaffirmed that her government will be “a dynamic, reliable and trustworthy partner.”
She said, “together with our friends and allies around the world, we will continue to champion freedom, sovereignty and democracy. And together we can define this new era as one of hope and progress.”
“The resolute international response to Ukraine has shown how we can deliver decisive collective action,” Prime Minister Truss said, adding that “the response has been built on partnerships and alliances and also on being prepared to use new instruments, unprecedented sanctions, diplomatic action, and rapid military support.”
At a crucial moment in the conflict in Ukraine, the British Prime Minister pledged that the UK “will sustain or increase our military support to Ukraine for as long as it takes.”
She added, “new UK weapons are arriving in Ukraine as I speak, including more MLS rockets. We will not rest until Ukraine prevails.”
On economy, the British Prime Minister said, “the G7 and our likeminded partners should act as an economic NATO, collectively defending our prosperity. If the economy of a partner is being targeted by an aggressive regime, we should act to support them, all for one or one for all.”
She also said, “we won't be strategically dependent on those who seek to weaponize the global economy. Instead, we're reforming our economy to get Britain moving. And we want to work with our allies, so we can all move forward together.”
The British Prime Minister reiterated, “the free world needs this economic strength and resilience to push back against authoritarian aggression, and win this new era of strategic competition.”

Under the 1972 extradition treaty, extradition is to be granted if the offense is defined as extraditable under UK law and as a felony under U.S. law, in addition to the requirement that the offense be punishable by imprisonment or other form of detention for more than one year or by the death penalty.

Our hypocritical representative elites talk in disguise about oppressing their own people through Covid, controlling them with security laws, seducing them with money funding, hiring suitable (company) minions, embezzling their intellectual property, making them dependent on fertilizers, blackmailing them by food monopolies, plundering them by energy prices and decimating them with vaccines. I don't expect much good from this powwow of distraction. - The only thing that really worries the representative is that the climate of belief may change away from tolerated mobbing and looting. We urgently need TRIPLE ASSESSMENT in our govern-mental systems! Just an example from me for constructive criticism: The rules of the UN Security Council and its quorum could still be modernized during the General Assembly: Abolition of the right of veto for cross-border aggressors (Russia) and reduction of the yes quorum for peacekeeping missions by a 2/3 majority. After all, all UN Security Council states already have armies that could be sent to Ukraine as part of short-term UN coordination to ensure fair (!) referendums in disputed areas . It is often only a question of will! It would be so easy to include this suggestion for constructive improvement in one of the UN-GA statements...

The energy and resource reality has led to wars past/ present but now it’s more evident that instigators of conflict are finding it harder to succeed. You have countries like Russia and China who desire to reclaim historical lands because they predict new future demands with the emergence of sustainable market places. Despite this the two nations are unlikely to transition at the same pace as the rest of the world using time-sensitive methods. We know another reason for expanding is to maintain and to grow their own global influence. If Russia accomplishes its ‘military operation’ in Ukraine and China achieves reunification with Taiwan then both countries have successfully filled economic gaps (in the long term). To tap into the potential of new work forces, technology and land could mean both are set to outperform the strongest democracies while going unaffected by the cost of Developing sustainably. The issue here is making sustainability competitive and equitable as competition is what world markets thrive on. If the green revolution is forecast to succeed in developed democracies then the current strategy of feeding into conflicts will deepen global inequalities. In the long-term we will see wealthier nations move ahead with their own sustainable initiatives leaving less developed nations behind. Developed nations can afford access to supply despite current disruptions. For instance, Less developed nations are affected most by the disruptions in Ukraine's grain supply. In the long-term funds are likely to be redirected to secure food rather than funding new infrastructure projects and the facilities needed for a sustainable transition. Wind, solar, and nuclear energy are not competitive because once you build the facilities to produce you no longer need to continue purchasing it from other parties. No one country has access to sustainable supplies of oil, gas and coal, that's what makes them competitive/ expensive. Many nations will be at a disadvantage because of outdated pricing systems for tech in combination with global climate vulnerabilities. Nations will likely be less able to trade with the same efficiencies, in the same quantity and at affordable costs. (supply disruptions). Leaders must introduce mutually beneficial trading solutions in order to route the latest sustainable initiatives to developing nations. Understanding regional infrastructure needs, next prioritising implementation moving us forward as a global community. Laying the necessary foundations for the first part of this new era will ease market competition however continued innovation and further technological advancement can reignite competition. The Solution Continuing to innovate with efficiency, speed and sustainability in an ethical way will allow world markets to remain competitive. Sustainable Transformation and Impact 100: Launching a Sustainable transformation index, presenting data which measures and identifies top sustainable performances from business to state. Young Pensions: This bracket will predict and estimate the average monthly cost of energy per household for pensioners by 2050. The estimate can then be made into an investment for the development of renewable energy facilities. This service can also be used to gain a deeper insight into the cost-effectiveness of renewable energy (forecasting bills and savings). Harnessing the capital of young investors should influence our target demographic on two ideals - To invest in the future & To Retire into a Sustainable Society. Revising Land Value: To begin increasing the value of agricultural lands in countries that require assistance in building sustainable and green infrastructure. I would suggest wholesale prices of products remain the same but company profits should be reinvested back into the land. We also need to rethink international infrastructure debts as this does not take into account climate vulnerabilities. Lifting all sanctions globally, exclusively for the deployment and trade of sustainable and green commerce. This will guarantee no one is left behind when it comes to the green agenda. Reparations in the form of development pathways in the CW: Britain must address reparations within the Commonwealth. This should come in the form of a renewed commitment to collectively move forward with all member states into a prosperous and sustainable future. The Blue Economy: Using tech to predict areas that will likely experience repeat severe weather patterns. It's crucial to continue making sure infrastructure is in place to divert, collect and harness resources. Furthermore, strategically placed dams for future water retention, planting trees, new waterways or reservoirs will aid in the northern hemisphere whilst retrofitting distillation pipelines will see new lines of clean water entering the southern. Back to the Drawing board(er): Retrofitting entire regions is a sustainable idea but if history has taught us anything, maps change. If parts of the planet become uninhabitable due to climate change then nations may need to gradually and strategically change their national geographies. Partial migration from old-infrastructure to new climate resilient developments should also encourage moving populations to return a fraction of used and abused land back to the environment. Sustainable Nations (Branch of the UN) The UN's sole purpose is to maintain international peace and security which means a new UN organisation to address climate change is due. I imagine this organisation will mobilise volunteers across the globe to address climate change and drive the initiatives which safeguards our way of life in a more sustainable and ethical way. The Green Revolution in Phases: 'The time period of the industrial revolution was 1750 to 1914. The industrial revolution occurred in two distinct phases: the first industrial revolution, between 1750 and 1850, and the second industrial revolution, between 1850 and 1914.' The green revolution may need to come in two or three phases: Phase 1: Transitioning/ up-scaling/ investing in sustainable business, products and services... This also includes retrofitting factories and manufacturing plants as a matter of urgency. Phase 2: Using all resources from Phase 1 to invent new communities and developments. Phase 3: Perfecting Reclamation and Restoration process.

We hear from a 'lady' who started her political career as a Liberal Democrat now Conservative Prime Minister of the UK. She was an anti Royal now speaking glowing volumes of our late Queen. Truss was a campaigner against leaving the EU but now champions the Brexit cause. She also championed the involvement of UK mercenaries joining forces in Ukraine to fight ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine, while not knowing the difference between the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea. But hypocrisy is the least of this woman's problems. She is ignorant of the people and countries involved in this conflict while openly and resolutely supporting and funding a corrupt fascist regime in Ukraine. She takes over the mantle from Boris Johnson who personally is responsible for Ukraine continuing a war with its nearest neighbours when a peace deal had all but been agreed, thus condemning thousands of innocents to die needlessly. Just as UK's masters in the US set out to achieve over 20 years ago the UK/US/EU collective would see a proxy war fought to the last Ukrainian all in an effort to destroy Russia. Simply disgusting!

How is it not a democracy? They changed their government like 6 times in the last 2 years so they can better represent the Israeli public. The Government there needs to have support of the majority of the Knesset to be given the privilege to represent the people, it's literally a democracy in the most basic and fundamental way. You just sound jealous.

Of course, you did raise the specter of Authoritarian regimes threatening our current security using the same Churchillian rhetoric that launched the Cold War seventy odd years ago for better and worse. Regardless, I am looking forward to seeing if you can raise the profile of the United Kingdom in international affairs as Churchill once did.
