I said that if I had to predict I didn’t think he’d be in the dugout next season because he wouldn’t get the results he needed to. Could he stay? Sure, the market has changed a bit and INEOS may be aligned with him, which I’d be more than fine with. Never said he’s a bad coach, never called for him to be sacked, never called him insults. He’d do a good job at Bayern because he’s a good coach, you don’t become a bad one overnight. But, like at United, if he didn’t get results there he’d be under pressure because as a manager you’re held accountable for those things. Bayern interest doesn’t change that.

But you have been calling his job into question for at least half of the season, intimating that he should go, suggesting it might be best for all concerned, talking about his position as being untenable and such like, basically everything except ten hag out, which is fine, you don’t have to say directly that you want him out if that is one of the things you say you do not say as a matter of principle. @@joefleming-mulford9290 That’s fair enough. For me, that evaluation process is always ongoing, not just for the manager but for players and everything as well. I said several weeks ago that legitimately I’m not sure how to feel and I’m constantly looking for more data and more information, and I’m always conscious that circumstances change quickly, just look at the managerial market recently. That’s just how I approach things I guess which I think is ok but I know people approach things differently so I totally understand that can be frustrating to some. For me it’s not about drip feeding negativity, it’s about looking at all sides of the argument. That’s praising, criticising and defending when it’s appropriate. I only push back on the suggestion I feel certain things or view things a certain way, which I know myself that I don’t, if that makes sense? As far as next season, I’d prefer the path of least resistance, he stays, turns it around and does well, because I want every manager to succeed, and I do think he’s a good coach. My point with that was though, if INEOS do decide to make a change, I’m not staunchly against it as I think that to be successful and totally reset things everyone has to be aligned and INEOS need to have someone they believe in and fully back, if that’s Ten Hag then that’s great, but that might depend on what happens in these remaining 5 games. And no insult at all my friend, it’s all about debate, which is healthy. Maybe I just haven’t explained myself as best as I can, hopefully I’ll get there with that 🤣 It’s clearly an emotionally charged time but everyone just wants the best for the club 👊
