This season has been a disaster from long term injuries to club ownership and managerial goals all changing under ten Hag. Glazers wanted champions league at all costs, INEOS want entertaining football. He's been geared up for one thing and then told he has to do something different to keep his job so good results and performances have been sporadic. But if you're a true fan. The points, the cups, the league positions etc. It's all noise. After 10 years of having no success why are we in such a hurry for champions league immediately if we're not in the position to compete at champions league level? We need someone like ten Hag to help us rebuild from the ground up and help with longevity of success. We have new owners now so that's a start but the manager was never the problem. And what about Rashford and Fernandes? Why aren't they under fire more than ten Hag when ten Hag promoted Garnacho and Mainoo to make up for their poor form and even though they're just teenagers they're two of the most exciting players in the league right now massively outperforming the players that are supposed to be guiding them. I’m an Arsenal fan and i feel as though Ten Hag has value to Manchester United and INEOS if used correctly. This United team are legitimately awful, and the best way forward is to give Ten Hag the permission to purge this team of all its problems. It will be a harsh road and will involve killing a lot of your darlings but it will benefit them in the long run. Arteta made the choice to purge the entire Arsenal squad that failed Wenger, Emery and him, and in the act of doing that the performance levels nearly cost Arteta his job we were so bad. If Ten Hag isn’t the manager to bring United back to the promised land, he can at least be the manager who takes all the flak for clearing out the weeds.
