Universal seems to be doing the work to improve their parks. Disney is TELLING everyone they are doing the work while the parks burn behind them.

That or it takes years for Disney to incorporate their ideas, or they say they are going to do certain ideas and they scrape them, Epic Universe is going to be incredible, I don’t mind paying for any price Epic Universe will ask, as an avid WDW attendee with my daughter, it’s getting harder and harder to voluntarily go to Disney and now they are switching genie plus to this tier lightning lane thing , I mean any of Disney’s ideas has absolutely done nothing to keep its guests in mind

Disney won't spend several million dollars to bring back the dragon but will happily drop nearly $200 million on crappy D+ shows that nobody wants or watches.

Or they'll spend millions on a DVC hotel that benefits very little of its guests in the grand scheme of things. I'm surprised they haven't created DVC only attractions in its parks, or even a DVC only theme park.

I'd like to believe that the dragon will return, better than before. But realistically I haven't seen them "plussing" anything old lately. They're just finding new ways to charge for things that used to be free these days.

In addition to this they've spent I'd say nearly $100 million improving both of their parks with brand new pathways, a new bus/shuttle area, renovating rides such as the Mummy, renovating buildings, renovating restaurants with new menus included, adding attractions and new lands such as DreamWorks, a brand new entry pavilion with brand new facial recognition technology for faster entry, a brand new nighttime show and a brand new daytime parade. Universal is pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into its existing park in Orlando on top of spending billions building a brand new theme park that will be the most technological park in the world. Comcast is not messing around with its theme park division. They're not afraid to spend some money to make it great. And, they're continuing to work on land replacements for Simpsons and Lost Continent so even though Epic is coming, there will still be plenty of reasons to go to the existing parks. I don't feel as if Universal is nickel and dimeing everyone either and their park operations at least right now seems to work better than what WDW is doing at the moment.

Q: "Will Disney be bringing back the flaming dragon?" A: They're planning on it, but as we've seen MANY times in the past, Disney plans have a way of failing to come to fruition. In any event, it will be a minimum of 4-5 years before it returns, if it does at all. Would LOVE to see a comprehensive list of all the Disney attractions running with portions (sometimes MAJOR portions) In "B-Mode" constantly, or the percentage of elements that are in B-Mode and how often, for how long? For example, the huge "anti-aircraft" guns in RotR that haven't recoiled in years. And Darth Maul seems to spend more time as a projection than he does as an animatronic.

I’m not positive on this, but from what I can see and from the modest research I’ve done I think universal will be able to get this done with minimal interruption to ride operations. I’m sure there will be a few days down time but definitely should not be months of actual down time. I’d be surprised if the ride down time can even be measured in weeks

The way that disneyland resort is better than disney world now. Theyve made the park anning and visiting experience horrible, delivering a lesser product in capacity number of offerings and thene differentiation, and they are de-theming their hotels. Disneyland resort used to be way sub to the level of theming of the deluxe resorts and dca couldnt hold a candle to the gates at disney world but all of that is changing

They let us know in every way they can they hate us and the people who keep faith allow them to do this as long as they want because those faithful people will always come back no matter what so why change any time soon.

When the podcast shows talk about UNIVERSAL,how great they're building EPIC UNIVERSE and other attractions project.For some strange reason, they throw DISNEY in the mix.And the conversation is about DISNEY, on how DISNEY need to do this or that.Conversation focus should be about UNIVERSAL, but for some strange reason, the podcast show and people that leave comments, want to DISNEY in the mix. DISNEY is going be just fine.When EPIC UNIVERSE,I'LL imagine It's going to huge hit, It's not like the consumer won't go to WDW or SEAWORLD.All the theme parks between ORLANDO and TAMPA going to benefit when EPIC UNIVERSE opens

@@ThatParkPlace Disney is not as loved as you think it is. I've ridden 700 coasters in the US & Canada and have never been to a Disney property. I see no reason to ever go There's a ton of former Disney park goers that swear they will never go back. Disney has stated they purposely keep raising prices to limit the number of guests each day. They would rather have fewer visitors (rich people) spending more money in a less crowded park for a better overall experience. They aren't family friendly, they've alienated half their visitors with their woke agenda and their creepy history of grooming children. Disney's park attendance in Florida only grew 2% from 2010-2019. Universal's park attendance in Florida grew 48% in that same decade. Disney has been dying a slow death for 15 years. Disney isn't going to do better and half their customers can no longer afford to visit their parks anymore. Universal is and has been FAR superior to Disney for the last decade!

Sure guests will still go to WDW and I totally disagree with anyone saying nobody is going to Disney once Epic opens...the problem may be, they're going less. Instead of a family spending 7 days in Orlando with 4 or 5 days at WDW and maybe 2 or 3 at Universal and staying on Disney property, they may instead stay at a Universal hotel and go to UO 4 or 5 days with maybe only 2-3 days at WDW. This would put a serious dent in Disney's theme park attendance and revenue for WDW, making it harder for them to do the things they need to do. Disney already isn't exactly in a great financial position.

@@robertpolk9910 Yeah this is what seems like many don't realize as well, Universal has been slowly chipping away at WDW's attendance ever since Wizarding World came to Universal Orlando. It may not be a lot but little by little more and more families are spending more time at UO, which means they're not in a WDW park spending money. Epic will only continue to push that path forward for Universal.
