You know what Taemin has in abundance that not many dancers can emulate? ELEGANCE. No matter what style he is dancing, he has that. He's a very graceful and elegant dancer.

I have so many friends between 17-65 years old who adore him for his incredible talent, unique singing, dancing and music and for being such a kindhearted and genuinely lovely and humble person. Did you sit next to me at the Super M concert....? Hahaha. There was a woman in her 50s next to me, dragged into K Pop by her daughter. At the end of the concert she said, ¨That was cute! But there was an artist too up on that stage -- Taemin! What beauty!' I have introduced Taemin to people in their 70s who have become fans. He is an artist who breaks down barriers. Glad you discovered him.

As someone else dared in the comments, I watched this in .75x speed and oh my goodness! The slowed down motion just made me appreciate more how seamlessly fluid and intricate his moves are. Heechul describes Taemin's dancing as 'dreamy' and I absolutely agree. Grace, elegance, and passion. I prefer this performance video, no distraction, just him dancing. Pure ART.

Don’t get me wrong, I love all dance videos of Taemin, but this one is the one I would choose over all of them without hesitation. It’s perfection in every way. His body creates perfect lines and arches, his dance is full of emotions, I just can’t take my eyes off of him. It’s art, unforgettable and unique.

I have to say I didn't know much about Taemin but I'm glad I've stumbled over this because the artistry inside this man is beyond words. The way he dances with such ease despite the complex nature of the dance and how he carries himself while doing so is mesmerizing, it literally keeps me in a trance throughout the whole video.

뮤비는 정말 cg덕분애 넘나 실감안나게 게임속 같고 그런뎅..진짜 현실에 존재하지 않은 그런 상상의 인물같이...잘생겼어..태민은 잘생긴것도 있지만. 그거에 가려지는게 많다..정말로.이태민이 어떤 가수인지 어느정도 관심있거나 팬이아니면 알기 힘들고..정말 이태민의 춤은 정말 신이 내린 것같음 사람이 어떻게 저런 춤을 저런. 표정과 몸짓으로 소화하게 보여줄수있는지. 매번 소름돋고 감동적임 그래서 정말 댄스버전 나오면 너무 좋음. 솔직히 이태민에게 외모는 그래 중요하지않음.. 아이돌이라는 틀이 태민에겐 더 힘든 존재인것같다. 태민의 춤은 정말 댄서로서도 프로인데 한국에선 좀 태민 춤 잘추지~정도밖에 안삭이난되서 아쉽다..그리고 가창력이 점점 늘고 완성을향해 나아가는게 정말 멋있는 이태민 ㅠ!!😍😍(의식의흐름오졋)

If Sayanara Hitori was like 75% contempory style he went near full blown for this and it fascinating to see as he doesn't have a bg in classical or contemporary dances. His foundation is street based, pop and lock but he's grown in such a way he can even do dances like this. I can only imagine he's a dream for cheorographers to work with. They can create routines as challanging and complicated as they please and rest assure the vision will be excuted perfectly. No need to simplify things or anything like that.

So SM doesn't provide any classical/jazz/modern training...? It makes me think of Michael Jackson -- he had no formal training either. Some people are just prodigies I imagine. I had a boyfriend who was a concert-level classical musician who won international competitions. I remember one summer he said he picked up another instrument. Within two months he was playing Bach on it. Mind you he also played jazz/rock guitar. So I guess it is the same in dance if you are enormously gifted as Taemin is then you can conquer new territory as it were. Makes me wonder though had he had the training would he be even better? Would HE have wanted that training...? In any case, he is a joy to watch and thanks to other KZfaq commenter for link of work behind the scenes with choreographer! I could watch hours of him working on the creative process -- so interesting. He falls in a heap of sweat and exhaustion after trying to master a part that we eventually see as effortless.

Taemin has more than just talent and skill. He has learned to express himself through dance and I'm pretty sure that he will become more and more involved in creating choreographies in the future (I know he was already involved in the choreo for SHINee's "tell me what to do"). This is what impresses me so much about SHINee in general. They never take their current achievements for granted or just carry on with the same thing they have been doing for a while. All of them are strongly involved in creating, organizing and polishing their art. This is unusual and outstanding.

Taemin, blessing my life with his dance again. Taemin it's in my opinion the best dancer in kpop. I don't care what anyone says. He has fluidity in his movements while still being strong. And he can dance like this so well that people forget that his specialty it's popping and locking.

tayarisa The fact that his specialty is popping and locking is what amazes me the most about him. His underlying basics is street but he has developed himself enough that choreographers could throw anything at him and he would make it look great. He is one of the only kpop idols who have mastered the slow to fast transitions whilst retaining fluidity and expressing emotion through his body movements. Not only is his dancing developed but also his vocals (in my opinion the best singing main dancer).

Do you know why it is that Taemin's specialty is basically street dancing...? Popping and Locking? Was this how he was trained at SM as a trainee? Was it his particular interest? Do you know..? Your post was very interesting -- he's obviously a prodigy. I think he could even give ballet a go :-) Though to my own taste that would be a waste of his talent -- although obviously ballet is amazingly expressive etc. Just not my cup of tea.

daysjours he's self taught dancer before join SM and he learns the dance from watching MJ videos and others so maybe that's why his basic is popping and locking but i'm not really sure

Honestly, I can't even put into words exactly how much I adore this. He's beautiful and the choreography is beautiful! I'm so glad Koharu was able to choreograph another song for him.

I always come back to this video 100% positive that it will just uplift my mood to the next level. It's so wonderful being able to watch taemin express such amazing artistry while dancing to such a wonderful asian inspired song. The way his body moves is beyond me, truly. I am so thankful that I am his fan.
