@@Winter_Sniper_818 Because Warner Bros sold the film rights to Universal. So they canceled LEGO Batman 2 and that racing movie. Universal can't legally make sequels to WBs films since they still own the characters (especially Batman).

This is all genius to me. Pharrell doesn't come from some traumatic hood background where you need to make a Straight Outta Compton drama type movie. And he's a big enough name to where people know him and would be interested in seeing his story. Especially hiphop fans. And then to kids, even if they have never heard of Pharrell, this is just a Lego movie. Which they love. And now both kids and adults will want to see this. Genius in my opinion
