Yes, that is such a challenge! Most of the human hair in the wig world starts off as black or super dark brown. When it comes to naturally curly hair, the more you lighten it and process it, the more the curls relax. This is why it is pretty much impossible to find blonde curly human hair (unless the donor had blonde curly hair). I've spoken with multiple wig makers and every one without exception has tried to crack the code on lightening a wig while keeping the curl and no one has yet... and in order to take a wig from black to red, you have to lighten it to blonde first and so the same problem exists. I am so sorry!

Hi! That is an excellent question and one that every wig wearer should ask. There is no way to guarantee that you will 100% get the same exact hair. Just like no two women have identical hair, especially curly hair, no two wigs will. In general, though, the goal of a wig retailer, so in this case, Uniwigs, would be to use all the same origin of hair on this particular wig. That will give you the best shot at getting something very close. Additionally, a human being hand-tied quite a bit of the hair into this cap (all the lace parts), and a human being also cut the hair, so the layers may not be exactly identical. I have a feeling that the hair was cut when weight and mostly straight, to the curl pattern will dictate where those layers will fall. The more curly, the shorter the layers. I hope this makes sense, but let me know if you have additional questions... I will say, that this can be a challenge even with synthetic wigs...especially curly ones. For example, I have owned roughly 8 Ellen Wille Girl Mono wigs, and every single one had a bit of a different curl pattern. So variation isn't unique to human hair wigs.

​@@heywigsister I was very confused by this because your photo on the website and your video for Jade was the only one that showed curls (which are beautiful.) And it's not titled as a curly wig on the website. Other unboxing show straight hair. I found this on the website in the details which explained "The waves in the wig shown in the photos are not permanent and were added using a curling iron. The Jade wig will be sent as straight hair. Hair air dries naturally wavy or curly. Due to the nature of real human hair, the hair pattern might vary after washing and air-drying. Some may appear wavy, while others may appear curly." You may have mentioned all of this .. I didn't watch the whole thing.. if so apologeis!! Just in case others get confused as well. Thank you SO much Denise. @@kateingram6987 Thank you! I think I did mention that it came out of the box totally straight so I was shocked when she dried this way... I know I did on Instagram. I had a wig sister message me on Instagram, she bought one hoping it would dry curly like mine and it did!!
