County Deputy (CD): I will give these three gentlemen a ride down to the courthouse. Policeman 2 (P2): Shouldn't there be two policemen in the car? CD: Naah, not necessary, such a short ride. You think I'm scared of these fellows? Murderer: Can I sit in the front seat? I get so easily motion sick when I'm in the back. CD: Sure, it will be too crowded with all three of you in the backseat anyway. P2: But what about handcuffs? CD: Well, some of our customers are complaining about that the cuffs itches and leave marks... Besides, we are the Alabama State Police, what could possibly go wrong?

Because of this officer's negligence, and familiarity, a gentleman, who did all the rights in life, paid the ultimate price, then you have do-gooders, who would oppose the death penalty, for this human waste
@renejean2523

Believing that the death penalty is wrong is not a question of being a "do-gooder". It's about the principle that we don't lower ourselves to the level of killers and also realizing that the death penalty is neither a deterrent, nor a punishment. It's just vengeance. Punishment for crimes is not predicated on revenge and emotions.

@@renejean2523 Its unjust when an innocent is put to death, but with DNA, and without a doubt, it is right, and mistakes are rare. Criminals have a choice, get a job, no one has to opt for the death penalty. all they have to do, is leave people alone. stop harming others. In getting rid of them, we are saving the lives of decent people. If one overeats they get obese, if they over imbibe ,they get drunk, if they smoke ,they may get lung disease, if they kill they will get executed, they have a choice. I have reread your posts, it's like the Christians who hold a vigil outside a prison when a criminal is to be executed, not a word of support for the innocents who worked hard, and pay into society, then get killed for what they have worked for

Michael Wayne Thompson is still in a federal prison serving his life sentence. Roger Dale Yeadon (the slippery one) was released from federal prison in 2016 after serving approximately 17 years of a 22 year sentence. He was presumably sent back to Alabama to serve out his life sentence there but does not turn up in the State Inmate Search for whatever reason. Also the deputy who was overpowered, Leland Chandler, just died on October 17 at the age of 88.
