For 300$ having no native ps5/PS4 or Xbone/XSX support is crazy

Madcatz that did the TE and TE2 no longer exists, this is a company that bought the rights to use the Madcats name. At this price point without native support for PS5(requiring a controller to bridge) and cheap looking plastic housing) its a poor option. They also rebranded the game sir calling it the MC ego but charged more because of the name. At $300 dollars there are other high end sticks and custom builds available which are better options.

So for $300, it has no native PS5 support and a need to pair controllers for PS4 and Xbox with that bridge workaround? That's disappointing to spend that kind of cash and then buy a $50 Wingman on top of that if you don't want to juggle controllers. You're getting into the realm of premium sticks and custom builds at that money, and I just don't see how this contends in that category. MC needs to rein it in and compete at a price point closer to half of that to succeed with this stick in this generation imo.

The spacing between the lever and the buttons is welcome for me. One of my favorite layouts is on the Agetec/SEGA Dreamcast stick as the lever and buttons are way further apart compared to modern sticks.

Its crazy that a $300 fightstick requires you a controller or buy an additional attachment or buy a brooks board just to play on modern consoles... buy something else or build yourself one instead of this one

I really hope you got the bag for this! To anyone considering spending their own money on this stick, please look up reviews before you do. This is not "The creator of so many legendary arcade sticks". They went bankrupt 2017

I'm surprised NG agreed to the madcats one. Its not the same people. Charging 300 for a stick that needs an adapter or another controller to work with current gen lol for way less you get real brands and native use.

I absolutely love my MC Fightstick TE but who tf though it would be a good idea to release a 300 euros stick not compatible with this gen? The Hori and the Daija are ps5 compatible and even cheaper.

$300 for a stick where every possible design shortcut was taken is offensive. This is a sign the New MadCatz will attempt to ride old name power to make an easy dollar. Seriously, spend $100 less for a PS5 compatible, more portable stick. There are even significantly cheaper options for a Stick / Brook Converter combination like is required here.

The Brook adapter solve the issue, but it is really disappointing 300k and missing native support to PS5. Hori Alpha still the best choice for now.

The T.E 3 is such a disappointment. Alone the thought that you need to ether have another controler with you or go out of your way to buy an additional converter is such a back in the sticks concept. Make it at least native ps4/5 compatible. For the same amount of money you can easily buy the parts and case for an custom stick that is ps5 compatible or buy an cheaper option and just buy the brook converter. It's so sad to see how MC makes their products. I loved the T.E 1 and 2+. Were my first fighting sticks ever. So when I got the news that the T.E3 was in the making I was so excited. But all that flew out of the window. But still a nice video like always. You sold the converter on me xD

Did you feel during play, there was any difference in lag or reaction after button input? Is this just as viable and fast as any other sticks out there?

I still use my original MAS with HAPP Perfect 360 joystick. Its the best I have ever used. I'll still get the TE3 for new consoles.

I would buy the Hori fighting stick alpha instead considering it costs less money and has support for PS5/PS4 and PC. The quality is on par too

with me i've tried to use arcade sticks but the standard layout feels too condensed, plus i have long spindly fingers struggle to not cramp while using stuff like the mayflash f500 stick i've wanted to try alternative controllers for fighting games but it feels kind of hard to find one that's comfortable to use

I'm glad Mad Catz are still making stick. I have two TE2, one of the best design in stick tech. This one is a bit too chunky for me. They should have just improved on the TE2 design and compatibility with current-gen devices.

New MadCatz is just Chinese MadCatz as previous American MadCatz was going into Bankruptcy from all the Guitar Hero stuff they were producing for a failed resurgence of the game. TE3 is evidence of a lazy design because it looks like a drill box lol. Qanba does it better with licensed products though their recent princes for PS5 lineup of arcade sticks are a little overpriced IMO, Hori is probably the only brand out there with a properly priced PS5 Arcade Stick. I absolutely love Brook Accessory, they're the Taiwanese mad scientists producing all these awesome PCBs and Converters.

Let's get real: This is not the same Mad Catz. They just own the name. They thought they could get away by selling a controller with needs to be daisy chained with a controller connected to a console to work. I am disappointed with this video, though. I get you're sponsored and it is a job that pays the bill. You said it's not a review but made it sound like one. I chuckled when you said that while saying "...while I hope it is not a big deal....". It is. $300 for something that doesn't with a console when connected directly- LMAO! You're paying a lot for that controller just to be daisy-chained with a controller to work with a console. I wonder what is the latency difference between daisy-chained with XBone/PS5 controller Vs using a Wingman. And besides, I noticed that you compared it with another controller which flexes (TE2?) as you should but you never really mentioned which controller that was, how much it costs and does it require daisy-chaining? If this was a review no sane person would recommend this, let alone come with a guide to pay $300 for a controller and then spend another on a Wingman to make a direct connection. That's just weird. I would have rejected the sponsorship and thought nothing of it. I now get why some people passionately diss TE3.

The TE3 has a LOT of critical reviews and you don't really go over any of the negatives for it outside of compatibility. I understand this isn't a "review," but it doesn't really feel honest for you to gush about this thing for 8 minutes while not being critical of the product. If these are the kinds of deals you're going to make with sponsors, I'll look elsewhere for my product recommendations from now on. Positivity is great, but you need to keep it real with us.

Sure the Brook Wingman FGC solves a lot of compatibility problems, but IMHO that should be used for self-build arcade sticks. Big arcade stick brands should get their sticks officially licensed by Sony. Period. I find it disgusting HitBox is still "working" (over a year now!) on native PS5 support and now offers Brook hardware as a solution/option instead of getting it officially licensed by Sony.

For this price I would expect PS5 support out of the box. And why isn't every fight stick wireless? I know most FG players prefer wired but no one says you have to use the wireless function and for the rest of us that are more than 3 metres from their PC or console, wireless is essential.

Without next-gen support this is a massive rip off. $200 gets you the Hori Alpha and $150ish can get you a Mayflash Elite and Magic-S Ultimate to work on any platform.
