I actually had the pressures way too high. Took it out today and dropped another 7-8 PSI than what I had in this video. Still no 1:29.xx time yet but was .2 tenths off and can find the time for sure! It was HOT today so that didn’t help but it’s there.

@@VictorPitstop Oh wow 7-8 PSI is a lot! I'm sure you'll hit 1:29 easily tho it's just like u said a matter of keep driving and getting "in tune" with your setup!

I have stick on base mount for the GoPro and a short extension joint that’s maybe an inch long coming from the base that I test pivot before each video. The GoPro is right above my brow. It helps that the helmet I use has the eye shield slide into the helmet and not right above it if that makes sense.

I cannot wait to get an alignment done. It’s funny how much of a difference it makes and is even funnier when you see how bad it is from the factory before they adjust. I used to run Contin DWS06 on my Audi S4 when I had it and loved those tires. I haven’t tried any of the new conti’s yet but I think I have a buddy with the ECF. I’ll give them a go! I’m very a satisfied with these RE71RS so far!

@@VictorPitstop I bought the car new and within 50 miles I got an alignment to the flyin Miata specs. The car’s left side had toe in and almost no camber while the right side actually had toe out. Anyone who drives a ND needs an alignment for sure. After living with the FM specs, I got another alignment after putting springs and sway bars on. Now I run 8.5 caster, 2° F / 1.8° R camber, 0 front toe and 1/64 rear toe. You can just fling the car in and it takes it.

@@Accost2u I hear the caster adjustment helps the steering feedback a bit more. That’s not super crazy camber but I guess we don’t need a super aggressive setup with double wishbone setup. Definitely will stick to zero toe in front and a touch in the rear but will go a little more aggressive with the camber if I can.

@@VictorPitstop the toe really helps making the steering even more aggressive for turn in. The caster helped a lot with weight directly off-center. I kept my camber a bit lower since it’s still a street car and I don’t want extreme tire wear. After springs the shop could get almost -3° F / R camber so there’s a lot of room to play with it once you drop the car.

Yes. Stuck to 205/45 17’s instead of going bigger. Trying to get everything out of the car.

@@VictorPitstop 👍 I hear sway bar upgrade does wonders in reducing body roll - I daily a NC and recently test drove a ND2 and the body roll in the ND2 was a huge turnoff for me so if I ever do upgrade taking care of that is first order of business

@@Janiix89 well, you drive the ‘best Miata’ so I can understand that. I had an ND1 with almost the same setup but I had swaybars and alignment done to it and it was amazing. I think I want to try something different this time with coilovers but I’m not 100% set on it yet!
