Paths of our lives and the importance of maintaining curiosity as a tool for continuous learning. The two tap on conventional wisdom with discussions on the myths of working smarter versus harder and debunk the idea that you can get paid for being lazy. The conversations also cover various topics such as the impact of what we consume online, the dynamics of the workplace, and the often misunderstood concept of toxic positivity. Codie Sanchez is the founder and CEO of Contrarian Thinking, a digital media company, and Contrarian Thinking Capital, a small business holding company that is focused on bringing Main Street businesses back to the limelight.
Codie Sanchez is the Founder and CEO of Contrarian Thinking, one of the fastest growing financial media businesses with 6 million followers and 100 million monthly views. She is also the Founder of Contrarian Thinking Capital, a venture capital firm, and Main Street Holding Company with 25+ small or, what we call, “boring businesses.” Think car washes, laundromats, property management companies etc. She is a former partner at one of the largest cannabis investment firms, where she invested in 65+ companies. Her specialty is in the roll-up, turnaround and add-on space. She built First Trust’s $1 billion+ AUM Latin America business and held leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, State Street, and Vanguard.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.

24:24 you're going to be happier if you do more of what makes you struggle. I find this so truthful. Yes, it's important to stop and smell those roses and watch your favourite show, but it's as important as doing something that is so incredibly scary making you feel as if you're going to throw up. And fail.. A great episode!!

I really appreciate the dedication in each video you podcast. To be successful in stock markets, crypto and so on, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Ann Elizabeth Messer focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.

When I saw that you two are going to have a conversation I was immediately interested because I think in some ways you seem to be really different personalities. And I think that is why the interview turned out so well. Congratulations! One thing that popped into my mind is confidence, knowing and accepting yourselves that you both source from in your journeys. That would be inspiring to hear more about for me. My tip for the guest is Sorelle Amore. I think that conversation could also turn out really interesting. Good luck with this project!!

Feminism has still lot of work to do, some countries have reached a level good enough to say “we are doing it” instead of “we can….” as mentioned on the interview unfortunately it is not true for everyone, lot of women deeply struggle today, not just a few, we cannot chill out yet. I liked the episode and some parts are very inspirational. However, Codie seems to be obsessed with money and titles. Oh I talked to this friend, he is a billionaire, oh I have this mentor, he is multimillionaire, like it puts them all in higher categories. Slightly misconnect between her inspirations and how she is actually representing herself.
