I wouldn't really count Zinnia as a rival, really; she just wants to test the Champion and the defeater of Archie/Maxie to see if they're worthy of being her backup. She's not someone who wants to accomplish something before the player does (e.g. Blue, Barry, Cheren, Serena - in their case being Champion of their respective regions), nor do her ideologies necessarily clash against the player's (e.g. Silver, N), nor does she go on roughly the same adventure as you just to experience the world and do her own thing (e.g. Bianca, Trevor, Tierno). If Zinnia does count as a rival, then she's one of the least interesting rivals ever, only becoming one after becoming Champion for (pretty much) half an hour. May's also a lacklustre rival, due to her primary role being a signpost, especially in the Gen VI remakes, and doing almost nothing of note; Wally is seen only three times (Petalburg, Mauville, Victory Road), making him another underdeveloped rival - despite how awesome his ORAS battle is. Zinnia as a rival, though? Makes zero sense, at least to me.

Pretty sure Zinnia is more like recurring boss than rival. Nice video anyway.
