Regarding the whole “displacing air molecules when teleporting” bit; I like how in the Castlevania Netflix series, whenever Dracula’s castle “moves” (teleports) from place to place, they do actually depict the catastrophic effects that the vacuum and displacement caused by the teleportation has on the immediate vicinity. Gale force winds ripping trees from the ground, leveling buildings and shredding nearby human & animal life; a small tsunami forming when the castle appears in a river, etc. It’s always nice when people can creatively apply just enough realism to the fantastical in a way that makes things so much cooler like that.

A "teleporter"-style time machine would work if it kept your position relative to the Earth or the machine itself, and switched you and a small bubble of air around you for an equally-sized bubble of air at your destination. You'd have to worry about airborne pathogens that way, but pathogen transmission via time travel is a concern regardless of that.

@@jeffrey7923 Time travel is very much possible in theory. You are travelling through time right now. Take a fastafboi trip around a couple of stars and you just went into the future. So you can 1) Traverse through time 2) The speedo of the travel is variable So I dont see why that variable speed couldn't be negative. Then again, we shouldn't bother. If it is possible to achieve by us, humans, it probably has happened and we will never know about it (see above) or it is not possible by us and we will never know about it. A fun thought either way.

@@soderium6729 (minor Death Note spoilers) Light was twisted from the very beginning. I mean, he killed Lind L. Tailor in 2nd episode if I remember correctly. Killed supposed genius detective who fought crime just because he opposed him. My guess is Light's speeches about peace and order were just a mask, a good excuse to unravel his megalomaniacal nature.

what’s crazy is that christopher columbus actually kinda did this. he wanted crops from some of the natives but they said no so he told them that in a week his god (who was in his mind “better then their god”) would make the moon disappear and it would turn red. this is a lunar eclipse, but the natives didn’t know that. however, christopher did, at the time we knew enough enough about our planet on the east side at least. he tricked them simply by knowing more.

Thats only really an issue in Pre Civil War America, and some parts of Europe for the past few hundred years. Before that or elsewhere, you’ll be fine.

Elise L-J you’ll probably be fine in medieval England things like racial based slavery and shit like that wasn’t really around much since feudalism was still a very popular thing and so rulers had all the free labor they needed for farming and building. So you’d probably be fine, at worst they’d probably look at you with curiosity, or racial suspicion.
