So it’s canon that Akuma fights on an empty stomach purposely to give his opponents a chance?

The fact that they added this into the game just increased my respect for the developers by a huge amount. I was literally hoping that akuma would be a "secret" character on the select screen like SF2 HDT. The fact that they satisfied this to any extent shows that they are true fans.

The fact that they worked in Shin Akuma through a flag via a (very) impractical taunt instead of coding him as a separate character is *genius.* He's technically not banned and accessible at any time, but you'll still never see him in fights for glory nonetheless. That they also snuck in what seems to be an _umeboshi_ in the onigiri is just the (pickled) plum on top.

Nagoriyuki was not kidding about the health benefits of Onigiri, damn

Imagine the flex though of an opponent deliberately letting Akuma power up so they make the ensuing beatdown on him more dramatic. Someone's going to try that in a tournament, guaranteed.

The amount of love put into the Akuma DLC is insane, feels like Akuma's arrival is treated as this really important event and I wouldn't have it any other way. Really excited to see the video on the patch as well, here's hoping I get some of my wishes granted.

Since I love watching Taunts, this tactical would work against my dumb ass.

I like how they made the special taunt animation so long that you couldn't even get it off after a stun in the corner haha. They wanted to absolutely make sure there was no way to get it unless your opponent plays along.

Watch: Tournament holders are going to make a rule that says, “you can not let Akuma eat during a match” as if to deter players from doing “the gentleman’s agreement” for Boss Akuma mirror matches.

Not very useful sure but still just a really cool, fun thing that they didn't have to do at all. Really happy that this game is full of stuff like this, even when it comes to small stuff like Kimberlys super themes

Don't really know why, but Kongou Kokuretsu Zan may actually be my favorite fighting game move ever. I'm guessing it is because of all the lore behind it, a punch to rend the world asunder, the ultimate display of power.

You don't need to mash, you just have to wait until he turns his head back (he does that after 8-9 seconds, near the end) and press down + taunt, just once.

I'll be honest, I prefer the pillar level 2 over his regular level 2 because it's both more fitting for Akuma I believe, and it's a reference to one of his supers from Third Strike.

God I LOVE when fighting games add in fun little extra things to characters that will literally never happen in an actual match unless both players agree to it, it really shows that the devs are putting in that little bit of extra effort and it’s so fun to mess around with

Tbh street fighter never gives us these moments I feel like they’re kind of playing in vanilla and aren’t really ones to add Easter eggs or like things to really wow the fans so I was totally not expecting this at all. I literally screamed lol

world tour so cheesy i can't even bring myself to unlock all the outfits lmao, very happy with the aki buffs! and reducing the window for inputs gonna save me so many accidental lv2s when playing neutral lol. i do it extra slow and it still manages to happen :( pretty perfect i would say all i was complaining about seemed to be fixed, even got more low mix and its plus too :) only 2 buffs i'm surprised she didn't get was faster recovery on fireball, tho hopefully the heavy kick having more upper body invincibility will probably help, and buffing medium serpent lash hitbox, i swear i read jumps n it skimms them sometimes 🤦 need your vid tho some of the descriptions are confusing lol, i imagine it's gonna take a while tho, huge patch! good luck dude :)

I used to play as Shin Gouki in Street Fighter Alpha 3. You could customize different buffs for characters too, it was a blast 😂.

you don't have to mash the down taunt part until he is almost standing up. technically you only need to input it once, but to guarantee you hit the timing you can mash

They went through adding all those moves for something you will never see in a real match. Kudos Capcom!

So let me get this straight: Basically Akuma is not him when he's hungry and sometimes takes a Snickers but instead of calming him down the Snickers makes him more powerful Well that's something that you don't see everyday but sure it's a welcome one and I'm in for it lmao Edit: Also apparently someone posted a vid about activating the Shin Akuma properly and all you need to do is to input Down + Taunt before he stands up on his Back + Taunt

With M control, you can active it with auto taunt spam. 80% faster than what youre showing

Tip: Dont need to spam down+All PK. 1) you can assign taunt to a single button (for my controller, RS is my taunt. Some use Select), 2) Press Down+Taunt 30-45ish frames after he lowers his head after commenting and it will initiate Shin.

How are you able to do his hidden moves more than once? Once I do his fire balls or his secret supers one time I can't do them anymore even with meter.

We need an Akuma mirror in tournament to both activate at the start of match. This is so sick, I'm impressed Capcom.

It adds depth to his character but you'd have to bait your opponent to cooperate. Kinda like how Vegeta allowed cell to evolve for the sake of a challenge

To make it easier go to control settings and make R3 the taunt button so you can get it on first try because regular taunting is complicated

It would be cool if they added the same feature for Ryu. I mean, he's supposedly more or less caught up to Akuma & Gouken as far as power level, so he should get a *Shin Ryu* version... and Ken could get a *Violent Hobo* version after staring at his cellphone for a minute reminiscing about whatever has him conflicted this time around (I've done all his story and I still have no idea what he's sulking about).
