Yes yes! In today's drum lesson, we are looking at 3 of the most commonly played phrases in UK jazz drumming to see if we can combine them to create a groove of our own! Of course, the groove we end up with today is just an example and the real lesson is sitting on these phrases for a long time and creating something of your own but hopefully this will give you somewhere to start from! Link to my ebook, where all of these phrases can be found (with a total of 84 groove notations from drummers and artists in the UK jazz scene), below! Alex 👊

Audio engineer here, you did a phenomenal job on your mic placement. A lot of drum channels can’t find their room sound but you got that part down perfect! Great video

@@DrumHubTuition it’s really good, I also teach but at a private music school, and I also try to keep the atmosphere funny but straight to the teaching as well. So I really relate with the way you make your lessons, hoping I can make a Skype lesson with you after the new year, cheers!

@@DrumHubTuition do you feel like they isolate the drums enough? I’m looking for a comfortable pair which isolate and don’t cancel it out, since that doesn’t count as protecting your ears
