David Pawson says that 1 Peter is relevant wherever Christians are fearful of persecution. Peter tells believers how to endure for Jesus. So we need this letter today. It is warm and encouraging. Peter had known what it was to fear threat, now he knew how to face it without fear. Jesus had reinstated him after his betrayal of Jesus because Peter still loved him. Now he wanted to encourage others. He had gone from timid to bold with the filling of the Holy Spirit. In this letter, suffering is one theme, submission to it is another and salvation is the third theme. (He lived up to his own advice when he was finally crucified himself, asking to be crucified upside down.) Peter urged his readers to be sure of their salvation as it was their firm foundation, but also to stick together to encourage each other in the face of trials. He speaks of their ‘living hope’. Like Paul, he emphasizes faith, hope and love, as well as the priesthood of all believers, and that we believers are a holy nation. .
David also has a book on this series find out more here: www.davidpawson.co.uk/search/...

There is such a heavy weight of glory that immerses me when I sit at this truly great man's feet! My whole christian being has been totally upgraded through David Pawson. 9/10/22

I think that David Pawson was given to us to help us get ready for heaven; to learn how to be real Christians. And to make sure that we are deserving of Heaven. I don't think that I ever thought I was a true Christian and now I know that I wasn't. It is a process, even the Apostle Paul said he didn't think that he'd arrived, Paul said that! Thank you, David.

Back in 1995 the Law made it an offence to talk out about about false teachers/religions. David said that as Christian we are going to have much greater battles in the future. As we can see from the state of things in 2022, David's thoughts were sadly spot on. Thank You Father for sending You Son Jesus.

How to suffer humble and be bold and courageous in the same time? Christ did that, so did the apostles, but I don't know how to apply this humble but courageous attitude in life..aren't they opposite? Or is to suffer exactly because you're bold and say the truth?

Meekness and humility is in the heart. Truth is in your heart and mind. Truth spoken can and should be done boldly and with courage not fearing the consequences.

5:30 "Peter did not write his fellow believers how to escape persecution but how to endure it." just as jesus did in matthew and in revelation. May we have the same mind set and with the Holy Spirit overcome when trials come our way.

15:59 I don't understand how David freely denied Adam and Eve in this passage showing his acceptance of Darwinian human evolution. And yet in other videos he proclaims accepting the entirety of the bible otherwise it's 'cherry picking' and of no value. Lapse of memory? A Freudian slip?

Hi David does not deny Adam and Eve - and he is not an advocate of Darwinian human evolution - that I can say with certainty Please replay and listen carefully to what David actually says - he is expressing his view that we, intelligent human beings treat each other dreadfully - worse than animals treat each other I quote "Im afraid Human society without Christ is a jungle " "we are naked apes" (metaphorically not literally) "except Apes dont behave as badly as human beings do" I can believe we decended from them - ( if ) we are a lower species than them,......... because apes dont do to each other the way we treat each other" "Children at school are so unkind to each other"....... David is describing the reality that intelligent human beings, who were given a higher position in life than animals, are no better than animals in fact - we often treat each other worse than animals do This is David's way of expressing cruelty of human relationships .....not scientific evidence for Darwin David very much believed in Adam and Eve as the first of all mankind Please listen to his talks on Creation where he expresses his biblical beliefs in far more detail an I assume you they are NOT darwinian

22:00 the difference is the Jews weren’t dying for Christ so their death had no merit for salvation.
