Depression is real and most people do not understand it. At times, suicide seems the only way out. I wish people would stop the stigma

I’ve been thinking about doing this spoken word for my talent in a pageant and I let my mom listen to and she says “ What is this crazy stuff you got me listening to?”. It hurt my feelings but I’m still going to perform this because from the moment I heard it it resonated with me and how I’ve over come depression and how I was alone but anyone can get out of it. It just take time and hard dedication cause it is not easy. I’ve been almost 6 months depression free and it all started with God. It just hurts to know your own family can’t support you.

For five years, I've had to smile and act like all is well. All through, debating on whether sharing my story is worth it. I don't know when or how but i will share it. Hey There Emily, this is so amzing and touching. It clearly depicts what people undergo from Day to day in silence. And ' we' or rather people are not keen to realize this, not keen to note the behavior change of others not keen to lend a helping arm to those Under depression. I pray that God reaches to our rescue, each time sucidal thougts engrave our minds, we may always remember that there is God above and we don't belong to ourselves.
