Matthew wasn't going to prevent the Second Age of Terror, only restore the world. Also, he mentioned a "final form" that would emerge, so he would probably be a lot stronger once the Second Age of Terror actually started.

@@Joseph_Drew_III Well, Dr Caledonius tells Pepperminteppi to "usher in the Second Age of Terror", but that's about all we know. The second coming of Golb is just the second time Golb would show up, which might have already happened if his appearance in Come Along With Me counts.

I don't even think Coconteppi has any ruler but his own, unlike The Lich and Orgalorg he has total control over the multiverse as Magic controls the multiverse in adventure time, don't take that from me take that from The Enchiridion. While the other two strive for power, Coconteppi strives for primoradial chaos. He has in theory infinite nigh-omnipotent or complete omnipotent magical power. Not even GOLB can take him on in terms of power GOLB is discord and destruction while Coconteppi has complete control over the entity that formed that concept to begin with, AKA the multiverse which fun fact: Is sentient in adventure time according to the books, mainly the enchiridion. There's a key limit factor that determines the strength between them, one is Discord, Destruction, unstoppable. The other has, all of these things, amplified, to total oblivion. At that point the only thing GOLB could do to coconteppi is send him out of the multiverse like Margles but I doubt that would work either due to the Egg, of which states Coconteppi's name and grows to large for spacetime, so either way GOLB isn't strong enough to control someone like Coconteppi and Coconteppi seemed to be more collected in a way.

as more bonus knowledge: The Lich, Orgalorg, and Coconteppi aswell as Hudson Abadeer are technically older then GOLB, GOLB was formed before time, which means the Nothing stage, but before there was nothing: There were monsters, the difference between coconteppi and hudson is that they seem more collected then Orgalorg and Lich which crave power for a state of primordialism.

@ThatOnePenguinThatClobbah'dKirby i honestly think the difference between factions is less like actual fighting but more like Christianity vs Catholicism. They all call themselves scholars of GOLB but he himself doesn't seem too interested in anything but eating stuff to break it down to particles and farting out monsters. So like all scholars, they start debating stuff and it gets a bit violent. Lich, Orgalorg (and maybe Matthew, shhh don't tell nobody) see existence as pointless so they should destroy and kill for a more cosmic state of chaos and entropy. Meaning Hunson and Coco boy see him coughing up evil and think "yes, this warping of reality and life to create new things is chaos, so i should do that".

@@Mal-go5dl I'm not directly sure where its stated but its incredibly obvious to figure out. - The Lich is aware of his existence, that alone should be a giveaway as the lich is a Primordial Monster that DIED, and was reincarnated actually not that long ago in lore. So he wouldn't have known shit if GOLB wasn't alive before hand. - GOLB quite literally lives in The Nothingness of which The Age of Nothing resides, he's the only entity capable of accessing the foundation of the multiverse aka the Antiverse. -GOLB is the embodiment of chaos and discord, and one of his titles is quite literally "The Original Being." Even this very VIDEO states that GOLB is older then time, and this dude. Albeit being very strict in his concept of canon, agrees.

What's even more nuts is in that episode with peppermint butler that form we see his "younger" self takes was a metamorphosis into the pepper mint butler we knew. So truthfully how op was og peppermint butler for him to essentially need a primordial's energy to change himself back. xD

There’s no correlation between size and power.

Every primordial probably has different power sets. Orgalorg is more brute strength and ability stealing. Coconteppi is more versed in magic.

He's not THE source of magic, it's more likely he's the first to use it and all magic on Ooo was based of his teachings. Considering we know the first wizards came from WC(His kingdom). He's most likely the most powerful magic USER but not the actual source

Recently did a theory on Eli that's somewhat close to this idea.

I doubt any magic after Coconteppi's demise could forge entiites like Darren. You seen how broken that dude is in magic, he can open portals to other universes, is implied to be able to erase whatever he hits from all universes. Darren must have a form of magic long past. Which rules out AFTER Coconteppi's death.

There was also that tree dude who seemed pretty powerful powerul enough to go against the candy kingdom and almost single handedly wiping it out,but he also created monsters.
