Hey, I hope you'll take some constructive criticism here. This isn't directional rolling. Your character is already moving in that direction before you hit the roll key, so everything you set up is pretty much useless. Players will often change direction quickly before hitting the roll button and you didn't show that in the video, probably because you know it looks janky. The player immediately snaps to the new direction using your system with no interpolation in between.
