at the time i was annoyed that they didnt land in the stadium itself but then i realised they couldnt because it was covered with overhead cables for the opening ceremony show

Plus the needed the queen to pop out on her balcony to keep up the illusion. Can't do that if they land in the stadium!

For me this was one of the highlights of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. the James Bond scene with the Queen was outstanding, Thr guys jumping out of the Helicopter were Electric, RIP mark 😪

Busy event. And thousands of people involved. That bridge was probably closed, but the extras were late and made a run for it. No harm done.

It does look like there is barriers across it. I suspect the people on the bridge are volunteer stewards or maybe even the jumpers own team who hadn’t spotted him.

what do you mean? it was clearly closed off. the people on the bridge where there to check on the jumpers as they land and help get rid of the parachutes to aid the illusion

@@tdolan500 they had spotted him, thats why they where running. they went "oo look theres a guy in a big british flag parachute dressed like james bind that must be steve lets go get ready to catch him when he lands to we can get rid of the parachute"

No, Daniel Craig later stated in an interview that he did actually meet the Queen for the first part of this when they are in Buckingham Palace. Its just as with all actors, older ones especially, they don't do their own stunts for safety reasons

He probably would have managed to do it, but I guess for such a big event you'd want a really experienced skydiver because you can't afford anything going wrong
