My husband is originally from Marietta, OH, where Sandra (Georgia) lived. The people who had played young Sandra and her mother in the re-enactment are people that he knows. The girl playing young Sandra had been someone he'd gone to school with, and the lady playing Sandra's mother is one of our friends from the community theater. (I'd lived in Marietta for several years, and got involved in the community theater, which is how I met my husband.)

Robert Stack would of been perfect for audio books. He had a marvellous voice, a lot like Bob Ross

The police captain was dirty and the police covered it up. How does a cop get killed inside of a cop station with nobody knowing about how it happened.

As of today May 4, 2019.. this building.. Mountainair Police Department is being dedicated and named after Steve Sandlin... This story is horrible and wish they would solve the case....

It's amazing how when someone wants to cover up a murder, it's nearly always blamed on "suicide". Just like when a doctor can't come up with a proper diagnosis, it's blamed on "allergies" or "nerves", smh. I've told my wife that if someone ever tells her my death was due to a suicide, get a private investigator, because I assure you it won't be a suicide.

The police chief in the Steve Sandlin case is dirtier than a used bandage.

Authorities later learned that five months before Steve was killed, law enforcement received a tip that a police officer was going to be killed by drug dealers. Investigators noted that evidence at the scene suggested that his body had been moved. Scientists determined that Steve was ducking away from his gun when he was shot. Steve's case was later classified as a homicide, but no one has ever been arrested and the case remains unsolved. When questioned by an Army investigator, the soldier who found Steve's body claimed that he would go to jail if he "told the truth." The investigator believed that he was withholding information. Investigators also learned that a police officer from another agency had confessed to killing him. The officer allegedly said that "if he had kept his nose out of things (he'd) be better off. (Sandlin) wouldn't have died." However, it is unknown if police ever followed up on the alleged confession. One of the prime suspects in the case, Melvin King, died in 2004. King was the man whom Steve had arrested a few weeks before his death. Interestingly, the marijuana confiscated from King's home later went missing from the police department's evidence room. King was never prosecuted.

Between the meth cooking and the dirty cops in NM killing a clean cop who was a cop's son, I feel like this episode alone was an inspiration for both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad.

Something about Robert Stacks voice, no one else could pull this show off as well.

Steve seems to be the guy to believe that being a cop was a good thing, it was like being a super hero, then he finds out there is corruption and government drug deals and it breaks his heart.

In doing some research, I discovered that the Greene family from this episode is related to Mary Greene from the Delta Queen ghost episode. I found it interesting that two stories from this show were related.

That Steve Sandlin case is tough to forget. I still feel like that police chief Carson was hiding a lot of things during that interview, like he knew much much more than he let believe. Very shady guy, and very shady case.

The police chief was blinking a hell of a lot and lacked eye contact. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if it went higher up...as high as the Attorney General at the time. Small town, everybody know each other, percentage of the business, turn a blind eye. Attorney interviews Steve and all coppers, Steve only one who speaks, roots out the one that'll talk, arranges for the hit to be done

Somehow the hazy cinematography made the earlier episodes all the more creepy.

even if her story wasnt true, you can't deny the reenactment of Georgia Rudolph's reincarnation were haunting and beautiful. The reenactment Unsolved Mysteries did on this has always stuck out in my mind.

I love the Georgio Rudolph story, and as someone who has experienced past life memories and is a strong believer in voluntary reincarnation, it makes complete logical and rational sense, nothing could be more real than the supernatural and reincarnation. So fascinating.

I've had weird, vivid and very life like dreams all my life. In one of these dreams I was once aboard a ship that sunk, not far from the docks it had just left from in times long gone (perhaps in the early 1900's). I saw it all happening in front of my eyes, the people, the lifeboats, men coming from docks in many different rowing boats to rescue the survivors waving and shouting to eachother as theyhurried to the scene. I could even see in detail what the people were wearing. it all looked a bit weird to me, because of the way they were dressed up. Later it came as a shock to me to see a short news-reel of this same accident that I just happened to stumble upon in KZfaq. It was just like in my dream, although filmed from a different angle, because in my dream I had seen it all from my perspective...

In the reincarnation story, Sandra Jean killed herself before 1915. Her grandmother died in 1938. How could it be possible that Sandra ever visited her grandmother's grave?

This lady’s past life story broke my heart! It made me bust out crying. The heartbreak & hopelessness she must have felt being a pregnant widow. I also experience memories that are not mine, but they are in the same era as I am. I have memories of walking down a paved path to a lake, assumingly in Sackville, NS (which is where I was from). I don't know where it is, or what lake. I also have memories of a girl walking to school in a snow storm, to Millwood High School, early of mid 2000, around the time I went to school, but I went to Sackville High. I have memories of of a girl, probably the same one playing at a game event probably with her school, which I think is around the Metropolitan area in Sackville. I haven't had these for awhile. I had these when I was going to school and for some time after I graduated. She believe she lives in the Millwood area, not far from the school. This girl is somewhat of a loner, she has a few close friends. She is a thin, with sleek black hair that she often wears in a pony tail., and around just around 5,2, 5,4. I was desperate for meeting my soul mate, wanted a connection s badly, maybe I was channelling her memories, or I don't know. It was like I knew this girl, but I had (and still) have no idea who she is. The name Alexa stands out for some reason. That may not be her name.
