This show prepared me to be careful in life when I was a kid

Is it me or is there something "cozy" about this version of this show? Something you can watch in the dark during winter with a blanket, some popcorn and a low fire in the fireplace.

Came here after the new season on Netflix, but I must say the original version still has a special place in my heart! Nothing beats Robert Stack's iconic narration

Its awesomely insane how they keep updating these episodes. 44 years from death to identification, and its up to date. Awesome work. Stack would be damn proud.

This show is so 90’s and I love it.

As intense as Robert stack always sounded when he narrated this program, he is such a comforting voice in these times of trouble in 2022 to me because he just narrated it and said it plain straight no filter unlike too many people that just tell you what you want to hear just to please you.

The third segment: the last update was from just last year. FilmRise is doing an amazing job keeping these cases up-to-date.

There is something about Robert's voice. Back in the day Robert Stack could have read the encylopedia and I would have listen to every word.

I’m watching it snuggled up with my Maine Coon cat. The window open with a perfect view of the mountains. A gentle wind blowing that perfect transitional breeze between spring and summer. So blessed! I have my own angel chronicles. Miracles happen! I shouldn’t be alive! Praise God!

Even if Lazarus was a case of mistaken identity, that still doesn’t explain why Brady and Cobb were also positively identified by their families in the same photograph, and why each of those three men had mysterious markings and numbers next to their names in the National Archives as if to symbolize some kind of special status. I can understand one family being in denial, but three isn't a coincidence. Something doesn’t add up.

The way Stack pronounces "Unsolved Mysteries" at the beginning of this particular episode gave me chills, and that never happens.

I really hope FilmRise will eventually restore the brief CBS run of “Unsolved Mysteries“ as it was originally shown. Would love to hear that theme song that CBS used, and I’m curious to see how Virginia Madsen was as host when she joined Robert Stack in 1999. Of course I watched it back then, but I was about eight or nine years old and would love to revisit it.

This show used to really creep me out as a kid, I think the Netflix reboot would be better if they found a host similar to Robert Stack.

The Kimberly Pandelios case was so sad! I know that the two cases aren't related, but it does remind me of the Linda Sobek murder. Hell, the sketch of one of the monsters looks EXACTLY like Linda's killer Charles Rathbun! That picture has always haunted me. RIP ladies

The saddest thing about Holly Jo Glynn is that, based on the follow up I could find, it was high school friends who tried to look her up and couldn't find her that ultimately helped identify her. I wonder if she had no surviving family, or was estranged from them😟

I feel bad for Kimberly Pandelios cry😢. This story left it’s mark on me when I 1st watched it last year.

The cab Jane Doe story was always so profoundly sad to me. Who doesn’t give a young woman a ride to somewhere safe?! But to find out in the update that poor Holly was there to commit suicide just makes it even sadder. That poor girl.

Never realized Vito Scotti played Padre Pio. One of the few actors on the show who was even somewhat known before their UM appearance as opposed to after.

I am 30-38 give-or-take years older than the date when many of these episodes got video recorded on their original master tapes shortly before I watched them being played from a television station, and, no matter how many times I hear Roberta Flack's voice or am forced to watch a traumatising advert every 15 seconds, I still recognise the voice and think back and think how nice it was when adverts weren't horrific and when adverts didn't appear every 15 seconds, chilling me to the bone. It is morning and a bit damp in my region, which often has damp intervals, so, I'm not really surprised not surprised face not surprised face. I have a blanket, and, combined with Robert's voice, I am feeling quite relaxed under here, plus central heating. I am drinking milk and I think I'll go out later.

That poor model was too trusting. If your a model or want to be a model, work for an agency. Don’t just go to whomever calls you or even answer ads without asking for professional info you can check up on. Double check names of people that want to photograph you. Ask around if someone knows them. If someone ask you to come to a remote, isolated area to take photos, be aware, most pros have a crew, don’t even go alone or get out the car if it looks unsafe.

As a 34 year old, I've been watching Unsolved Mysteries for 30 years. In those 30 years of watching, I have been "weirded out" every...single...time...I see a person playing themselves in the show. Just saying.

This episode aired way back in June of 1995 lol I was only 19 years old. (seems like yesterday 😅)

This last case of the misidentification of Lazarus, Brady and Cobb is still very strange after the three of them, not only Lazarus himself, were identified by their relatives through the newspaper.

What's scary about these stories is that it happened for real.

The last segment: What was so tragically typical of many of these UM segments was the denial many of these families were in. Robert Stack and crew always handled each case sensitively yet professionally.

In regards to the Kimberly Pandelios case, the reenactment showed three guys at the campsite. Were they ever identified? Did they have any actual involvement in her murder?

I just found this channel and am thoroughly enjoying going through these episodes. I just now realized that the updates were done by the channel and not part of the original broadcast. That’s incredible, I thought it was weird that unsolved mysteries would have updates that basically said “everything’s still the same.” But realizing this, that’s so awesome. Thanks FilmRise.

Jeff shouldn't be so hard on himself for what happened. He was just told to leave, the guys only told him to leave, maybe not nice way, however, they didn't threaten his life or show him any weapons. It was also the early 90s so I can see why he didn't think of anything, since this really didn't happen as much, plus many ppl are very territorial when it comes to their campsite. Plus he did take notice of her, she didn't really look upset, scary, or hurt, and was well-groomed and clean. I'm sure he would have reported if she saw her distressed or very unkempt and dirty. Since he was able to give a good description on Kimberly to the police and he did report what he saw right away. Which did gave cops like leverage on what happened. Plus I read somewhere that police don't believe the woman Jeff saw is Kimberly. However, for his sake, it isn't and it was just some very territorial campers. However, he does seem positive that was Kimberly, esp for a woman he saw for a second. Sometimes law enforcement has been wrong.

The update music usually makes me happy

Had basically binge watched all episodes from season 5 onwards so this updated episode is quite a happy surprise!

The part I never got about the last Jane Doe case is ‘she appeared to be wearing second hand clothing’ … like how do they even deduce such a hypothesis. This detail has always stuck out to me so much so that, while rewatching this, as soon as I heard cliff and taxi driver I knew it was the woman in ‘second hand clothes’ 🧐 The way they portray the taxi driver though… so annoyed by the 18$ fair 😂😂

I sure really truly honestly do feel sympathy for the parents, friends,co-workers when someone is very special to them has been killed, or it suicide until otherwise proven not to be suicide. My heart ❤aches for the truth to found out. 💔 more than ever.

I understand that companies have policies that employees have to follow, but there's no way that taxi driver didn't have 2 dollars he could have thrown in, to not drop that young lady off in a pitch dark, deserted area. That is insane to me.

The very first time we all experienced ASMR from his voice and didn't know😌 as a little black girl growing up...I couldn't go to sleep without hearing him...it was so scary n comforting all at once.😩...now everybody is on the ASMR train.....pa lezzzz this new generation don't know what they are missing and missed...🥺

Is there any proof of Cobb and Brady's inprisonment in a prison camp? If there is, where did they go? Which camp in Casablanca? Those records have been talked about. Someone knows. Where are the lists of people interred in the concentration camps? I know pictures were taken, and someone listed names. There should be a way to tell if Mr. Lazerus was taken to a concentration camp.

The case of Kim Pendalios: the guy who saw her should have been more suspicious of the situation, especially if her hands were behind her back as was depicted, if this was accurate. He should have immediately gone to the police. And the 3 kidnappers were shown as she-men, which may not have been accurate either.

Robert Stack never aged.

So all these years later "Jeff" is either a liar or at the very least that was obviously not Kimberly.
