Somewhere in the middle of a picturesque French, we found a charming estate that got completely forgotten about. It once was in the ownership of Mister Remon and his beloved wife Anna, A German couple that moved to France in the late 80s. Mister Remon got the opportunity of a lifetime and became a surgeon. Together with his wife he lived in this grand manor for around 30 years, but sadly he passed away of a terminal illness. His wife kept on living in this here alone for around 10 more years until she also passed away in the year 2016. Ever since that time their estate has been abandoned and now is slowly rotting way. Come with us and let's uncover the lives of this lovely German couple and let us take you on a revealing tour of their former kingdom.

YES, I think this same thing all the time! I mean, WTF?! If there is no one to inherit the property, no next of kin, then why do we allow this to occur when there are so many families who are either homeless or housing insecure. Let the government or some other governing body step in and take possession of the property, then find a suitable family for it and then gift it to them; they'd just need to keep it up, and I know in my heart of hearts, there are so many grateful families who would and could cherish the chance to have and take care of a place of their own. What a waste. If I ever inherit a property I don't want, I WILL donate it to someone deserving who does.

Leslie This is why God says be ready. The sad part is . All of their things are just rotting away These homes are wonderful to see If you didn’t show them Their memories would rot away without notice. When I started watching your series I really began to think about setting all my affairs right Long before I go ! This is a shame for such beautiful things to go to waste. Only one of my sons sons want what I have My husband his dad died Jan 7 of this year. I know that things are not worth anything Compared to the loss of the love of my life . And sometimes when you show places like this Where the husband died first I can relate to the sadness left . Young man you give a beautiful story with each place with great reverence to those who left it behind May God bless you for your gentle nature .

This home was SO cool. I really really liked it. It had a certain air to it. Like, very sophisticated. I could see myself living here. That garden was probably very beautiful at some point. I especially love that pink lady’s bedroom. The door to the bathroom was unexpected and gorgeous! The wallpapers throughout were so unique too. I think my other favorite room was the library/music room. Something about it…. I really liked the glass doors for the books. It’s a shame the harp was stolen. It makes you wonder if someone took out other things. I can relate to the lady of the house with clothing. Haha. I adore sweaters and changing styles. So I probably would’ve enjoyed digging through allllll those boxes of hers. The only thing that freaked me out a bit was the laundry room. 😅 But, those people had a very unique and lovely home. It’s always a bit saddening to see pieces of people left behind. I’d want someone to care for the place and things. If not to donate or sell the items, if there’s no one to pass them onto. It’s such a waste. Thank you for showing this one. From chandeliers to artworks, it was highly alluring. ✨

I'm sort of glad to hear you say that, about the fact that it's not all fun and games, these were real people and the remnants of their lives, the last living testament that they were even here, on Earth, among the living. Thank you for sharing that. As a psychic empath, I will admit right here and now that I often cannot watch all of these to the end, because the emotions I pick up on are often very sad and overpowering to me, even though I fully know and understand that these people have merely moved on to the next part of their souls' journeys, they're not really gone, per se, only gone from us, in this realm. Still, though....it's more than a bit sad to me.

This is such a beautiful home! It must have been wonderful living there. The wife really seemed to be someone that kept up on the cleaning! Good for her, what a woman she was. I think the right thing to do with the house is to sell it to a couple that will keep her memory alive, and that would take care of the house as her and her husband did! This house deserves to be alive with laughter and a whole lot of love with children playing in the yard! Thank you for this exceptional journey! Look forward to the next trip down memory lane!!! I think the daughter lived there, too, with her children. IF the grandchildren are still underage, they cannot legally do anything with the property. Maybe the daughter has passed on as well. And those paintings at the end, well, they are kind of creepy to me, I got some bad vibes with them. grape lamp was pretty, and big rooster was cute. All those clothes still looks in good shape, good enough to donate. Loved the lilacs outside. Very good video.

Usually people who are older or ill will make a will to show what they want done with their belongings when they die. Don’t they do that over there? So many huge homes just sitting there rotting. This house is very strangely designed. It is also strange that no family member ever sold the place before it got in such bad condition.
@sequoiany3078

Probably they didn't make a will because there was no one they knew. Some folks just don't get a long with their families. So it could be they just left it like it was until the government decides to take over the property.

I wonder the same question as to why this house wasn’t left to someone, even left to charity…don’t people write wills? Give things away? Perhaps the wealth, inheritance tax to high? It’s madness! Perhaps there is a row or dispute about the inheritance, it’s such a waste.

This was a beautiful story and told so well. I found it emotional, the memories left behind of the people who once lived there. I guess we never get closure as to why the personal effects are left - but thank you for sharing - from that we can make our own ending. x

I love how you speak respectful of the peoples home and of the people. Thank you for taking us with you on your adventures of house exploring. it's beautiful to see that people in other countries respect other people's properties, here in the United States when a home is left abandoned people go in and destroy it, spray paint on the walls, bust the windows, smash and trash everything left behind. Ambercrombie & Fitch house is a good example of how things get destroyed here in the states. Very sad to see. it's a disgrace to the folks that onced lived there and called it their home. So THANK YOU again 🙏❤️

This is a really nice house, it has many nice features. Like a lot of the rooms,has a lot of nice natural light. I also liked the kitchen, with all the colorful tiles. Also the animal that you thought was a peacock was a rooster 🐓.

Lesley, I very much appreciate your philosophy of exploring abandoned homes. Showing love, respect and beauty. I do not like the "haunted" videos with the spooky music and talk of things being creepy. I won't watch those and it is sad because without the fakery I think many houses are just beautiful stories of a life well lived. Thank you for sharing your beautiful heart!!

Hi Lesley. I stopped watching some great explorer’s due to that exact reason. I know they get a lot of people watching it, but for me I find it disrespectful 😩. I also love how caring you are towards the actual story, but the riches left behind. The worst is seeing people smoking in these abandoned homes 😢 Keep on exploring and stay safe young man. Cheers
