@@chase9132 cuz when 2 drivers are tied, the one with most wins stays ahead. If it's also tied, then it's the one with the most second places, and so on until someone gets the advantage. This was used to determine the runner-up in the 2007 season, when Hamilton and Alonso were tied in points and wins.

So i was bored and looked who wouldve won the championship IF we used the usual point system. 1. 322 Hamilton 2. 276 Bottas 3. 222 Verstappen 4. 194 Albon 5. 131 Vettel 6. 122 Leclerc 7. 111 Sainz 8. 65 Stroll 9. 48 Ricciardo 10. 43 Perez 11. 26 Magnussen 12. 23 Norris 13. 20 Ocon 14. 10 Kvyat 15. 7 Grosjean 16. 7 Gasly 17. 3 Raikkonen 18. 1 Russell 19. 0 Giovinazzi 20. 0 Latifi 1. 598 Mercedes 2. 416 Red Bull 3. 253 Ferrari 4. 134 McLaren 5. 108 Racing Point 6. 68 Renault 7. 33 HAAS 8. 17 Alpha Tauri 9. 3 Alfa Romeo 10. 1 Williams The Drivers Championship began really thrilling with Hamilton and Bottas tied after Azerbaijan, but Hamilton went on to win 3 races in a row to create a gap he could hold until Japan when he crashed out. Bottas also finished ahead of Lewis in the US which gave Hamilton only a 6 point lead. Unfortunately though, Valtteri didnt score in Mexico, which handed Hamilton the Championship before the final round in Brazil.

Just tried this on the new game and here were my results: 1. Albon, 142. 2. Lando, 133. 3. Goatifi, 124. 4. Seb (me), 115. 5. Valtteri, 110. 6. Stroll, 108. 7. K Mag, 105 8. Gasly, 89. 9. Zhou and Mick, 84. 11. Ocon, 79. 12. Perez, 70. 13. Alonso and Yuki, 69 (nice). 15. Russell, 53. 16. Leclerc, 52. 17. Verstappen, 49. 18. Sainz and Hamilton, 47. 20. Ricciardo, 0. There was a wipe points in Abu Dhabi lol Anyway, with actual f1 points Max won the DWC. Sorry for the long comment.

(For 2021) That would be like Round Of 12, Round of 9, Round of 6 and Round of 3 at the end. (No round of 16 because in NASCAR's case they have 40 drivers+ per series in F1 there is 20.) Top 12 in the points go to the playoffs. Drivers that are not in the playoffs cannot win the championship. However If you win a race you are not in the next round in my opinion. The only way to get into the next round is to be ahead of enough drivers in the points standings. Round of 12 you need to be ahead of at least 8 drivers in the points, Round of 9 you need to be ahead of 11 drivers, round of 6 you need to be ahead of 14, round of 3 you need to be ahead of 17. In the round of 3 the 3 drivers race to have the highest position in the final race. Out of them, The highest finisher IN THE RACE not the points wins the championship. Round of 12/Playoff start at races 14-16, Round of 9 at races 17-19, Round of 6 at races 20-22, and the Round Of 3 at the final race, race 23.
