He is partisan because he obtained the interim order. All the contested aspects of the case will be argued in the Court of Appeals. If Aminu Ado Bayero was merely the Emir of metropolitan Kano, how can he now lay claims to being the Emir of the whole of Kano state? The law that created his emirship has been repealed, so, Bayero is sitting or standing on nothing.

Christian Ọgọdọ was being partisan -- it is disgraceful and unprofessional. He should have let the man talk; he should ask his questions without bias. I wish Charles Aniagolu or Ngozi/Suleiman had done this interview, the viewers would have learned a lot -- Danagundi was making some serious sense, by revealing some aspects of the court decision that the media have so far distorted. Unfortunately, Ọgọdọ was argumentative and toeing the line drawn by Kano state government, up to bizarrely asserting that his interpretation of the court decision was not subject to Danagundi's contestation. I am appalled that the show ended when it was getting more interesting -- for once, I am disappointed in Christian Ọgọdọ.

Whether a Governor is Sitting or Standing, a Governor is not above the people of the State. A Governor is a Public Servant, the Governor is in Office to Serve the people of the State. A State Governor should not be an Oppressor, Overlord or Dictator and can be Challenged and Questioned whenever the people being represented feel unrepresented. The people should wake up and rise up from the mentality of slavery, submissiveness and being subservient to these individuals in Government.

Somebody who's outside Kano and is not current with our politics will begin to think that these people have the influence and support in the State. But ask yourself this simple question: where were they and their 80% supporters when Abba won the election in 2023 despite his promise to dethrone these 5 Emirs and reunite the Emirate? Recall, they had the 5 Emirs, the sitting Governor, the Legislature, sitting LGA Chairmen, and a Deputy Governor as Gubernatorial Candidate then. But people kicked them out all. With this Guest then as the Sarkin Dawaki who was fully aware then that his turban will go too if Abba succeeded. What were they able to influence? So, all these are romours and belive me even if 2027 comes they will not get Kano again.

Actually Babba Danagundi is confused. Does he understand fundamental human rights, disciplinery offence and query. SLS went to court because his right of movement and liberty has been infringed because he was taken to Nasarawa state to survive there as it was done to his grandfather Sunusi Muhammad 1.

The apeal court is in the position to interpret the law but the same way Sanusi removed from the office and the heaven has not fallen, but now same thing happens to Bayero is now becomes an illegal. Let us wait and see the end of the movie. I believe that the time has come to separate the influence of politicians from traditional stools. We need to re-engineer our cultural institutions away from the grip of politicians... whether one likes it or not, having two Emirs in a populated state like Kano is setting the stage for a violent conflict that would not do any one any good. This could happen in any part of Nigeria.... Empowering Governors to appoint traditional rulers is simply a relic of colonization but has its advantages. One of such advantages is that state structures create opportunities for democracy to thrive (traditional rulers are mostly dictators). We need to strike a balance between the independence of traditional stools and the influence of a Republican State.

How did the guest arrive at 80 per cent of the people; was there a survey? Was he unaware of the bill that repealed the former law and introduced the new law upon which the new emir was installed? Could he not have mobilised the assumed 80 per cent of the people of Kano during the public hearing session to speak against the bill and have it dropped? He seems not to have explained to the legally informed how a law made by the state's House of Assembly within its legal jurisdiction has infringed on his fundamental right as one of the traditional king makers. The EFCC should invite him to explain how he has made the money he throws about on cases. His belief that the court injunction that resulted from his litigation prevented the security breakdown that would have occurred as a result of the dethronement of his preferred emir, makes me suspect he has a link with the hoodlums who are responsible for the insecurity in that part of the country. It is a pity that this cannot be investigated as a result of the unfortunate refusal of the state police command to take orders from the chief security officer of the state.

while there may not be an official survey, masses of people - specifically those on the streets of Kano, not just on social media - are aware of the situation. Those of us on the ground in kano agree and understand the gravity of this situation. Kano is not any other state o. I personally think it is unnecessary to rally people as someone suggested as it could lead to disruptions. Seeking legal recourse was the appropriate course of action. While some suggested protests, have you not heard about the students' protesting and how the governor responded by imposing a ban and employing security forces? We ve all seen how ENDSARS played out. Bayero will not want his name akin to any violence in the state. Student unions and civil organisations have been vocal about protecting their rights against this new oppression. Hence, DanAgundis statements hold merit. Personally, I think instead of nitpicking over trivial matters like wealth, focus on grasping the core message and refrain from attacking individuals' sources of wealth.
