G, I'm a recovering addict. 12 years clean in October with a wife and a 2 year old baby girl. Fishing is my connection to who I was before addiction. And videos like this reinforce the fact that we can all rise above. Thanks for that G. It means a lot.

Thank you G - MAN. I thought about your PMA talks a lot while the wife and I sat in the NICU with our new born. I had never talked to my wife about your speeches and hope they got me through some very low times in my life. And the day they told me that it was going to be my last day to see my son and my wife until he got discharged i sat down in his room and seen one of the nurses had left a dry erase markers and I wrote PMA and what it ment on the window and left a note below it for my wife to see when she got to go and see him that day. And as I walked out that day I heard two nurses talking about what I wrote and they looked at me and I could tell that it hit home with them as well and they said that was one of the greatest things anybody has ever wrote so everybody could see it. So truly from the bottom of my heart thank you for being the person you are. God bless you and Lulu

I too am a recovering addict with 3yrs 8ms. I have watched that same PMA video on multiple occasions. Those words have helped me through many tough times in my life, and not just talking about tough fishing trips. G man, I have never met you in person but I do believe you are a great person and have a huge heart. It touches my heart to hear this story. Much love brother. Keep doing what you do man. And to the woman who he was talking about, I want to say, good for you. These are the pieces of hope that keep other addicts pushing forward to do the next right think.

As much as I love to listen to you discuss fishing and teach others, it is when you sit, like you did at the Richmond Fishing Expo and just be Gerald, the man. To be honest and open, talking about life. It is in those times that you move even further into the making a difference in the lives of others. We don't know how we do it, we may never know we did, but GOD has chosen the moment and the words that were needed to be heard. He uses all of us as earthly angels and we may never know when it happens or to whom we it was was for. Thank you for always being open to his call. Never disappointing when I get to talk to you and Lulu. See you at the next Classic!!

I stopped fishing completely after My best friend an Army Buddy and State Trooper who I fished and hunted with for many years was killed 11 years ago. But after watching you and following you on Facebook I’ve began to want to start Bass fishing again. I don’t have a boat so I just go and fish from the bank when and where I can. G, I learned about PMA in 1974, when I was 18 years old. I have been telling people about this Attitude ever since. It works. I worked for a company the have a company come and teach a few employees about The Dynamics of Personal Leadership and PMA. They must have saw something in me I didn't know. Now I'm a Business Owner for 28 years, married for 44 years. You will have hurdles in your life you can not let them stop you, Fine a way around them. and keep a PMA.

Very cool G-man. Fishing is bigger. Fishing is my life. You probably saved her life. My best fishing buddy literally saved my life. I almost "bought the farm" in 2017 while fishing on Sam Rayburn & had I not been w/them & picked another day to fish by myself OR not fish at all- the fact that I did & was w/my buddy there to Call 911 & have an ambulance waiting to get me to Lufkin, TX- 100% sure I'd be dead right now. That event changed "ALL" the negative aspects of my life. I'm a better angler now & because of fishing- a better person, because fishing IS bigger.

Because of PMA, during the Indiana State tournament this past weekend at Rocky Point in southern Indiana, my son, in another boat, watched me lose a fish that would have put me on the state team. I never raised my voice, I did not throw my rod down, I just place the rod on the deck of the boat without its lure, pick up another rod, and went back to work. Thank you so much for helping me overcome IKE fits. PMA can do alot for people in this word today, if they would only take the time to learn. Thank You so Much!

Brother fishing helped me overcome a LIFELONG battle with addiction. When you don't miss a day, everything you do is associated with using. It was hard to find something I could sink time into that I hadn't done high, and then I found fishing. after 5+ years sober, I can tell you without hesitation that fishing is bigger than most people consider. Being on the water, surrounded by nature, lost in self reflection.... it's like you have the world on a remote control. The water is where I wrestle my demons. It's where I give thanks. It's where I take my wife on the weekends to catch up. When I'm tired, it's where I find my energy. When I'm wound up, it's where I find my calm. Catching a fish is a bonus, but it's not the reward. GMAN, I found myself on the water. Thank you for sharing your story. I truly appreciate it.

Heck if I'm having a bad day, I pull up one of your videos or some podcast you're on and it just makes me feel better about things. I know you're a busy man but would love for you to do a podcast. Obviously we all love to fish, that's why we're here but you could talk about anything and it would be interesting. God gave you a gift man, you're using it also. Years ago I would listen to Zig Ziggler when I needed a little motivation, today I listen to you. Keep on doing what you do.
