So awhile back I did a store review on untuckit and didn’t really see what the big deal was on their shirts. I also predicted that some stores will eventually pick up on selling these style shirts and guess what? they have. So in this video I’m going to go over a few untuckit alternatives.
Now I’m not hating on untuckit at all, I think specializing in untucked shirts was a cool concept because from experience, one of the biggest issues I’ve had from shopping off the rack was the length being too long.
In fact, after a few weeks of making that store review video, I decided to give untuckit another go and ordered myself a plain white button up shirt and after trying it on I still can’t recommend it.
I mean The length was fine but some areas required tailoring, like the sleeves for example. and keep in mind this shirt costs about $98 bucks.
The price to quality ratio is a little to high in my opinion and if I’m spending that much on a shirt then it better fit me damn good.
So after giving it a second go and doing a little research, I bring to you a few untuckit alternatives that you can purchase for a fraction of the price.
Now the first alternative that I mentioned in my last video was the gap but now both banana republic and the factory store started to roll out their version of untucked shirts.
both stores have many variations such as oxfords, dress shirts, casual button downs, as well performance stretch shirts.
when it comes to pricing, you can score a shirt anywhere for 18-40 bucks. just make sure to shop when they are having the occasional 40-50% off everything in store.
Next store, I was actually surprised to see them start selling these type of shirts but jcpenney carries a wide selection of untucked shirts by claiborne and van huesen calling them their no tuck or never tuck shirts.
I tried one on in store and comparing the fit to the untuckit shirt, it actually fit me better and it also had the added stretch to it but I do want to take another trip and try out the different fits they offer.
Most of their shirts range anywhere from 11-21$ bucks, very reasonable price if you ask me.
and of course another cheaper alternative but not as cheap as the ones I mentioned is going made to measure.

Love the concept but I could never justify $100 for a shirt that was really meant for a casual wear outfit. Great to hear that other retailers are jumping on the bandwagon at a much more reasonable cost. Now I know to keep an eye out for the style as that is my lane for button down shirts. Im still a fan of untuckit. I cant find a better fitting shirt. I get the tall slims. Im 6'2" all torso so I finally cant stop worrying about lifting my hands and exposing my stomach.

How does it work when your height is around 5’4” and you have a athletic build, meaning you can’t wear medium you’ll have to go large in size

Just buy used untuckit shirts on ebay $20 a pop I got 5 untuckit shirts for the price of 1 and 3 of em were NWT baby! I bought can heusen untuck version still too long in fact everyone else is still too long. Untuckit is more than 2inches shorter it's like 3in shorter baby

My Untuckit shirt fits too loose in the waist and too tight in the lat area. I went to gap and bought 2 short sleeve button ups for $50. Fits great in all areas accept full in the back. Having them Altered and I’ll basically have 2 custom shirts for under $100

Why do they make the shirts look like they have to be tucked why not make the shirt tail straight across that's so dam stupid to make an untuck shirt with a shirt tail that looks like it is supposed to be tucked. Make them straight across with a pocket old men need a dam pocket to put our reading glasses in.

Untuckit is the most over rated expensive shirt out there. Cool concept but highly overpriced. Shame on them. The greed is beyond exceptable. But the people that always waste their money on stuff they can find similar and much better quality will still buy it. Avoid untuckit
