I used to live and work as a firefighter in chertsey Surrey, I hated it when they brought in the scania. I always loved driving the Volvo FL6 Saxon. The volvos are now used for training and we use them now and again as the retained appliance. Still love the sound of that engine when you put your foot down.

I caught Guildfords retained vvo turning out the TL and scania but I agree withyou and so do other surrey firefighters i know the volvos where the best

Nice Catches! The Rosenbauer siren is pretty common in most Rosenbauer appliances now days all staffs Volvo Pumps have them.

it's simply because Rosenbauer has contracts with the German lights and siren brand Hänsch as primarily supplier

0:32 great catch!, rosenbauers are always cool looking fire engines they do have strange sirens we have them in staffordshire to only ours are volvos

probably because it's a German siren, which in the UK is often used on police motorbikes but hardly on fire apparatus so far?

Not a fan of that siren at all. Wish it had at least a similar siren as the Lancs stingers and GMFRS TRUs
