A Totally Unexpected Slider to Create a Dreamy Effect Easily in Photoshop! From adding sun flares to setting the mood with colors, in this tutorial, we will learn everything we need to know to create a beautiful painterly effect.
We will start by using a simple slider hidden inside of Adobe Camera RAW to create the soft feel in the image. Then, with the use of Curves, Color Lookup, and other Adjustment Layers, we perform creative color grading on our image. We'll also learn how to create realistic sun flares and use dodging and burning to add dimension and make our subject stand out from the background.

I have been an avid Photoshop user for sixteen years. I admit that I was always afraid of Curves. I was completely intimidated and never found a clear explanation. Probably because if you are new to Photoshop, he covers too much ground in a single video and just goes too fast for beginners to take it all in. If he slowed down and split this video into three linked videos he would fantastic. Still, I learned about colour LUTs so I took one thing away from this.
