Ever try to find soft plastic panfish baits in the colors you want? Was going to Amazon for soft plastic bait molds the right choice, or a waste of money?
That was my problem. I looked all over, but couldn't find what I wanted-panfish-sized baits in the typical bass bait colors like blue, or black metal flake, green pumpkin, and June bug, that you commonly see used for worms and creature baits.
On the lakes I usually fish, the bluegill have a liking for these colors, (As evident by the fact that they keep tearing my bass baits apart) yet commercial options were lacking.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands, and I opted to try making my own.
Not wanting to make a huge investment in something I wasn't sure was going to work for me, I went to Amazon for a few stone molds, an injector, and a few odds and ends. Then I collected all the torn-up baits I had collected since I had this idea, and scavenged the house for the rest of my supplies, hit record, and went to work.
Now, did my experiment pay off or was it a waste of money?
