Turtle bay resort is one of the most popular destinations on the north shore of Oahu offering a variety of activities to keep the visitor occupied with out having to leave the premises. No, the prices are definitely not reasonable. I am originally from the north shore, and my family and I stayed at Turtle Bay on two or three occasions while visiting my mom some years ago. While it is situated in a gorgeous setting, I feel that the prices were too high.

What time of year is this? The water looks a little rough/strong waves. Is that common throughout the year? Thank You!

Hi Claudia, this was taken in April but for the most part the ocean is a little bit more rough during the winter months. the rest of the year will be depending on the tide, for the most part you can always find calm waters somewhere in the island during the year

This hotel charged me 7600 dollars for a room I never stayed in. Now they refuse to communicate with me. Their occupancy is typically low. So they won’t give my money back. They need to give me my refund.

Wow, that is a lot of money. Are you in the island that you can physically visit them and fight your case on this cause that’s not right.they should give you the money back

Aloha. The water is beginning to warm up more now that summer is almost here when you first enter the water it might seem a little cool. But once you're in your body adjusts to the temperature of the water very quickly.

Hawaii is beautiful and the weather is unparalleled. Hmmm prices probably too high. These are similar to Four Seasons prices and doesn’t seem as nice a resort.

And hotel owner's/management(Not only Turtle Bay but any/all Hi. hotels/resorts) are unable to attract local residents?! Check your $$$$.... $1600/bungalow/night.... $800+ /hotel room... $40-$100/hotel dining... Even if you qualify for kama'aina "discount"...Garan-damn-tee it's Not Worth It!...BTW...XLNT presentation tho....

From a local perspective I agree with you. This is definitely not for locals that live here and are looking for a staycation. We can experience the beauty of the area. Grab some local food for a picnic and sleep in the comfort of our home at night. Much Aloha!!

@@LiveLifeTravelers...If it were me, would load up 2-4 coolers of food & book cabins at either, Camp Erdman/Mokuleia. Or, maybe even...camping at Kaiaka!-lol..But that's just me! Very low on Fluff n Stuff...Max enjoyment, minimal hassles!-lol
