I Am Back! - Thanks for your patience everyone! . . . . .
Today I am travelling to London Kings Cross in First Class from Eaglescliffe, courtesy of Grand Central Trains.
I show you the in seat ordering system , the buffet car and of course the look at the toilet facility. Once again I have a few audio gremlins, so I am sorry about that!

Nice train ride! Thanks for showing us around the train as well. QR codes and technology is good for some but these things misfire from time to time. Sometimes old school is better! York looks like a NICE station!

Hi Dave, nice deal, shame about the toilets though. York is great but had a scary experience there around October when returning to Darlington as a lot of train lines were closed due to severe weather, luckily we caught the transpennine as a priority as the wife is in a wheelchair!

I was there for Halloween last year Nick and the weather was lousy then, but not as bad as you experienced. I do recall all the flooded fields as the my train went in and out of York. Thanks for watching :)

York is a great city for a visit. We usually stay in a Premier Inn on the ring road and use the Park & Ride.

I have to say I much prefer the LNER, I've never had an issue (touch wood) and I find the seat service very good. The GC does seem tired and has an older stock, they usually run them Southbound I have found.

Yes they are very tired, but I guess their prices reflect that. Last LNER I travelled on for a previous video was a bit tired too and that was an Azuma which aren't that old - strange !
