Idk about the matrix being better than T2.... I feel those to movies are in tandem...

A very fair point. Both achieved very similar impacts when they came out with pioneering vfx. But there was something about the concept of the matrix that just felt slightly more intriguing and like nothing by we’d seen before. Only slightly!
