I have never been a base but i have always been a flyer. And after almost every stunt eveyone always says how i'm a good flyer and they always congratulate me after all the stunts. But i always tell them that they should congratulate my bases and praise them too, because i would not be the flyer i am without them. My bases mean the world to me, and i would be nothing without them.

I just became a base, I was a flyer before, I want to give props not only the flyer but to the bases! Bases never get enough credit, It is really hard work and I came to realize that very fast:)

The flyer did very very well, I couldn't get over the fact that she was so clean and crisp. The last twist down could have been a little better, but all in all, very good!

we called it the cartwheel down. If you're going to do it, just stay really tight in that "X" body position and keep your head in. When we first did it I got my head hit a bunch of times before I realized that I just had to stay tight and let my bases do the work.

bases and flyers are both important they are nothing without each other the only difference is that the flyer gets the most attention since the audience get to focus more on them

As a backspot for 2 years and a base for 1, and a flyer for about 3, coming up to 4 years, I think that flying is harder. But the bases are very important and without them the flyers would be nothing. Basing takes incredible strength and being okay with getting kicked/slapped/etc. Not trying to get an hate, just my opinion. (:

one of the teams. i don't know how they do it now with the small coed squad added in there, but it's always been that the all-girl squad and the coed squad from Louisville both compete at NCA all-star with Gym Tyme in the open division. it's like a manditory practice performance for them getting ready for NCA College.
