Sometimes you don't realize how much you miss something until you get it back. A normal, solo day in the life of Casey is something I missed. The vlog was such a part of my daily routine, this video was almost nostalgic. Thanks Casey.

CinemaWins “the vlog was such a part of my daily routine” - that resonates with me big time!
@ronlight70134 жыл бұрын
Yes, but did you notice his almost aimlessness? Casey's vlogs always were characterized by manic energy and a sense of urgency, even when there wasn't an apparent agenda. With this (ad)venture, he seems lost from beginning to end. At least that's a good theme to explore: A decided lack of focus is his new focus.
@CinemaWins4 жыл бұрын
@@ronlight7013 I think that was part of why I enjoyed it. Most of his videos lately have a 'purpose,' whereas I got the feeling this time he just felt like creating. Even his little note at the end about trying goes along with that. I agree, urgency is a good word to characterize Casey and his usual (probably majority as well) vlog, but there were always those days that felt like this. He was just vlogging to vlog because he got bored. And we got that church drone shot which is one of my favorite visuals to come out of his videos in a while. I think most vloggers feel the need to tell the 'story of their day' whatever that is, and I often get bored. The joy of Casey's vlogs for me was that he was just telling a story, and that story wasn't always the events of his day. Sometimes it was with music, sometimes with weather, time of time day, lighting, quick cutting, sometimes it's wandering around hallways and staircases. This felt like a random vlog I could choose from his back catalog. But you're 100% right. Beme or something else was always on the back burner, so the urgency was often palpable.

I am swiss and i have to say, that the people where very wrong. In Basel there are so many amazing places to see. There are so nice museums, old placec restaurants parks and the city centre with all the very old buildings is amazing!

No its not. The whole Switzerland is fuckin boring. Theres no social life, only work-home-work. Plus people are arrogant.
@nolomus4 жыл бұрын
@@Hollyweed1 Well, if you're interested in culture, architecture and art, Basel is the top spot in Europe (most churches & museums per square meter) but if you aren't interested in that, I agree it can get boring rather quickly. Also, we are not arrogant, just not as outgoing/talkative as a lot of US-Americans for instance. ✌️

although the complexity doesnt really stem from the pronounciation but the grammatical structures.... just being a wise ass

@@smishi true tho ;) but for someone who never learned German its still hard to get it right intuitively.

@Pablo Llobregat Ruíz You can get there in a focused year, meaning getting the basic words and grammar is fine, but if you want to get the details right you can only get there living here and practising 10-15 years to reach the stadium where people not realizing you are not a native speaker. Many grammar rules are just random and there are many exceptions. But getting B1 is possible in a year I guess
