UP NORTH Road Trip Through Wisconsin, Part 4: Land O Lakes / Phelps on Lac Vieux Desert

We continue on our Up North Road trip at our final destination, Lac Vieux Desert in the Land O Lakes / Phelps area
in Vilas County Wisconsin. We spend most of the week on the lake boating and fishing, enjoying BBQs & Fish Frys.
We head into the town of Land O Lakes. We cross through and take a mini walking tour in the city of Eagle River on the
journey home. Enjoy the beauty of the lake with spectacular sunrises/sunsets.

I used to go to Thunderbay resort every year as a kid with my dad when growing up. This was a good video giving feeling of the area and even the driving nearby. The owners of the resort at the time (late 70's and early 80's) were Dick and Fran and they had a husky named Poncho. Still have a couple baseball caps from there. Was always good fishing especially for panfish. Glad it doesn't look too different even after all this time.

This video is exactly what I needed. I own the cabin that's directly below where you were staying and in the middle of winter missing being up there. This video got me through and felt for a moment I was there! What month were you there? I assume this was 2022?

Hey Keegan. Glad you liked the Video. Yes, the video was summer of 2022. Every year I get up there at least once a year. It's the 'Nort-Woods', eh? Gotta go up there.

Does Thunderbay resort no longer own all the cabins there?

@@davidb.5544 they still work there but they haven't owned the cabins in 3 years now. Many of the cabins are still rented out but all privately owned.

@@keegles1 How does that work? Do you have to pay some maintenance fee like an HOA for lawn care and general maintenance? Asking since all the cabins look exactly the same still even with different owners.
