Holy cow, it's been a long week. But not to fret! I'm still chippin' away at this 3D printer project and I made up some good ground this week. Got the drives set up, got a way to control them, and got set everything up for future additions. Let's do this, folks! I'm ready if you're ready!

I also made a couple of these fun machines. My pen plotter was the best one but I should really make a new carriage with my 3D printer. Btw, buy a Ramps with an Arduino Mega with 5 stepper drivers for under 20 bucks, you get more versatility and more widely supported electronics for less!

'' and ill leave you alone'' each video you do is under ten mins if not under five and we get one once a month if were lucky. saying you would actually make content would be a better threat. you might not need to sell as many books if yoou actually made some content.

Man, I was hoping you'd use teacup as the firmware. Also, I would like to see a hotend and extruder set up, instead of a 3d pen.

bro i live in sri lanka and 27 dollars is 8000 rupees here but the a4988 driver with the sheild and the controllers is ONLY 1,200 its cheap i know this video is 4 years old but just putting it out here

Video one: Ok we are gonna build a 3D printer from junk Video two: Ok, we are gonna use junk and 3D printed parts to make a 3D printer This video: Ok, we bought an assembly that came with it's own junk. Our budget is now within $50 of a printer you could order online. I won't say more, but I'm disappointed.

If u order the assembly, the tutorial becomes useless. For like 150 bucks u can get an entire 3d printer from aliexpress.

Was just thinking the same thing. Messing with one of these ultra cheap printers is an awesome experience.

Right...but if you build it yourself, you will know how to fix something if it breaks... The knowledge of how to work on/fix these things is ALOT more valuable than ordering one pre-made and scratching your head if something isn't right

@@haydenc2742 You can learn everything important about a 3d printer by building a Chinese kit and updating the firmware. You'll also have a printer that can actually make things. Like a nice frame for a CD-ROM 3d printer, for example

I was very interested in seeing what you’d make since I’ve been designing my own printer for a while now. But DAMN this is some low quality... sorry but I wouldn’t buy a book from you. Would rather write my own. Have you tried at least building your own upcycled one?
