For the dry skin, use pure Shea butter (usually marked from Ghana and ivory to yellowish in color). Take a warm to cool shower and apply it before you dry off. It works wonders for dry skin!

I'm moving to AZ next week from Kentucky. The interview process was over zoom (2nd grade teacher). You mentioned the apartment issue and it reminded me of my own struggle. I'm staying in an airbnb for a month. It works out fine and is actually less than what I'd probably pay for rent for the month. *BUT*, I also don't have a drivers license, so I need to take lessons and get that before I can get an apartment anyway because I can't rely on public transport to commute. The airbnb I found is right next to my school thankfully. It's gonna be a bumpy first month. I've been living abroad which is why I don't drive. I'm envious of people relocating already with a license/car, the process must be so much easier.

I watched your first video about your move to AZ and was interested in your journey, thank you for the update, I'm sorry the job hunt was so frustrating for you, fortunately I'll be moving there next year with my family and we're all gonna live together until we find jobs and get ourselves established individually, otherwise I know it would be difficult to job hunt while in another state, but I can't wait to get there, I'm coming from Chicago too and I'm ready to get up outta here!

I've been out in Nevada for 4 years, and the desert has definitely made me adjust my skincare routine! I found that first year that Garnier rose cleansing milk worked really well for my face, didn't strip my natural oils.

Yay for your update I’m so happy for you! I just moved here the beginning of the month. Omg!!! Yass the people can’t drive here it’s ridiculous! They drive on your bumper and speed for no reason. I completely understand about the job search, I had to tell them I lived in AZ, luckily they were still doing zoom interviews. I did have on personal where I actually had to fly the next day.. it was a struggle. Have you had any homesickness? That’s what I’m struggling with...😩 I only have one friend here so it’s been hard. I’m also from IL. Ps it was a struggle finding a place because so many people are moving here a lot of places are unavailable or the prices went way up.

Oh wow! I’m so glad someone can relate to my struggles lol well congrats on your move!! I didn’t really have homesickness. For the 1st two weeks I was kind of second guessing my decision on choosing AZ but that quickly went away after I started doing things on my own and exploring. Stay in constant communication with everyone you love, that always helps me to remember I’m not alone even though I am 💜

Great video!! Congrats on relocating! Thanks for your honesty and so sorry you went through that with the employers on your job hunt. I was planning on moving out there and walking by faith on finding employment. I have a nest egg saved up that I would be covered for rent for a year but decided to just stay in California due to our heat is not crazy like in phoneix. I did go to Phoneix to visit & loved it but activity wise for me was Zero because all my activities here in California are outside and you can't do that in ,117 - 120 heat.

My wife and I wanting to move to Phoenix as well, but I’m thinking of getting a temp job first, if it’s difficult to get a perm job offer. We would have a down before moving, and we def don’t want to move without one of us if not both of us having a job offer. I’m sorry you had to deal with job the rejection process. You seem like a positive person, so I hope everything turns out well…

@@fromyourstruly8912 it is! Its tolerable if you're outside for a little bit at a time. It was 115 yesterday! A tip from one of my subscribers is wearing light clothing of course & scheduling your day around the sun. When the sun's down it's much cooler

I reside n N. Scottsdale & relocated from the mid-west Kansas to be exact. Definitely the dry heat will make you adjust your skincare. I'm 100% natural n I make a body balm out of shea butter & various other oils/butters. I suggest you KZfaq a few recipes but Shea Butter in raw form & mixed in a recipe is best! Just a small tip IF interested.

Try Extra Virgin Olive Oil for body oil... It ls the only thing that moisturize me... It will work well for your natural hair too...

I am thinking of moving to Phoenix after looking at the city for a year lol do you think it'll be fine to move there without a car? I don't have one and I've been in accidents with ppl 3 times so im afraid to drive myself lol my job lets me work from anywhere so I'll be fine. And how did you find your apartment? What sites?

This will absolutely be slower for you. It is boring at times I’m not going to lie. So there are a lot of days when I miss Chicago since they ALWAYS had diverse events to check out and tons of new things to do. It’s very different than the city life. But I knew what I was signing up for before moving. Phoenix and surrounding areas are very family oriented. If you’re looking for tons of things to do in your twenties you’ll have to travel the 10-30 mins to Scottsdale or Tempe for livelihood activities. Otherwise it’s just the regular stuff: grocery stores, parks, strip malls, hiking, basic restaurants.

Originally $1020 but Arizona taxes on everything like if you have water, utility payments, gas, rent it’s all taxed. So it comes to $1180 each month

I’m in north Phoenix bordering Glendale. Love the area it’s very quiet all the time! Rent for me was supposed to be a little over 1000/month but I quickly found out AZ taxes on everything. I guess rent tax is a thing out here.. And then they added about $100 more! Water, trash, pest control gets added on & the amount for that is averaged out amongst every renter (not just what I used) plus they charge a fee to pay for the water, pest etc. So just expect to pay more than what you signed up for when renting 😒😂

The hot sun is frying our brains and that’s why there’s so many accidents lol 😂 ppl drive soo stupid here like no concern for anyone else.. I always wait at yellow lights don’t even try it there’s always that one car who speeds through even when it turns red sometimes so be careful with that
