Making biscuits on your face😂😂! I LOVE him! Welcome to LA with all of it's issues. The weather is great but I can't think of much else. It is my home though. My family came here over fifty years ago from near Chicago. The weather is what did it for my parents. Good luck to you in your endeavors.❤

I've been like that my whole life too, girl. I would just go where i want to go. People used to ask me crazy questions, like am i running from the police. 😅😅 or say what they say to you, "i dont know how you can just go somewhere and make it". Etc. Im like, its not that hard (at least not when you're younger, like you are now). I could just blink and get a job. Not so much now (for some reason, agism is real girl). But anywho, as long as you know how to research, be resourceful, and follow your gut, you can do it. I wouldnt trade being this way for anything. Ive learned so much, got to see so much--- that others only dream of Get it girl! I love your spirit!

How does apartment complex go with a “feeling” how about you actually check your references and call your jobs to verify they sounded real sketchy girl. Just found you randomly this morning on KZfaq and I love your video.

I say settle for now until your money goes up and then get your dream apartment. You have to start somewhere. Unless you have a great paying job you can't go from 0 to 100 quick. There's nothing really wrong with the place you have now. Compare to the others you saw. I think you made a good choice. At least the outside area is super decent. I did the same thing here in New York City. I lived in a area and building that was trash and ghetto because of the way the building was kept and plus the people here wasn't making it any better. Cars was being parked on the sidewalk in front of buildings and trash was everywhere even though there was janitors. As soon as we got the memo that a new building was about to be built and we was going to have a new landlord and property manager I was excited. The explanation on how that building and neighborhood was going to be was everything I needed to hear. I applied for their apartments and it took me over a year to get all paperwork for the apartment. I was told by the property manager that I will be moving in by the end of June when it's done. I was too excited and can't wait to get out of my apartment I'm in now. Which is crappy by the way but spacious.

Just break in and squat. You can save thousands that way. This is Los Angeles.

I have been in southern California since 1989 from Chicago. I was 39. My daughter was 8. It was a struggle but i made it. However i never lived in LA. unkess you are living in the affluent areas perimeter areas it is nasty filthy and GHETTO. i have lived in orange county which is due east Of LA my entire time of living in Southern California. Its safe clean but mostly white and Asian. If you are not a introvert please friends and relatives with you or make sure they are living in Southern California. I love CALIFORNIA but it is a lonely life. People here are FAKE and full of much GAME. both brothers and sistas. Do not depend on finding a male mate in Southern California. The men are IRRESPONSIBLE and want you to take care of them. If you fine with that go for it. LA is unique to all other urban areas. I know. I lived in the midwest and the south. I have a degree and a homeowner now for 30 years. All the apartments i lived in before purchasing my home was very nice but in orange county. If you can live in a non black area try orange county outside of LA. not easy to live here due to constant racial profiling since trump been on the scene. But its beautiful clean and SAFE.

I was you and I def get it. I was born and raised in NorCal when I was 22 I just had to live in LA. I always loved visiting LA and I was just drawn to it. So I packed up my Camaro my dog and I took off got a local truck driving job what I didn’t plan on was the fact nobody wanted to rent to me because of my age and because my credit was new and the ones who would consider me wanted me to pay a insane deposit so I was living in my car and extended stays while I tried to save up. I finally found a reasonable apartment wasn’t in the area I wanted and def wasn’t the best but it gave me a roof over my head and that’s all I could ask for ❤

2 keep it realistically for Wht u can pay it will be a roach apt. U may not c it visible upon moving inz but, once u are in all the reaches will show in tell. It’s just the way it is for that price. Just keeping it real with u . It’s the norm basically

I moved to beautiful San Diego in '99 with my 11 month old daughter, One way ticket and never looked back- I had $135 ( I went straight to a shelter) best thing I've ever did. They have social workers; apt connections, etc. I'm employed full time as well as my now 27 y.o. We moved from upstate N.Y. if I have struggled, it's one of the softest ever. GOD is good, He and Jesus has always looked out for us; we have never went to bed hungry, nor have never spent one night on the streets. 😊

When I came across your KZfaq channel I felt like I was reliving my life story sweetheart I am 73 in 1976 I left my home in Columbus Ohio and moved to LA La was my dream at the age of 13,I would read the Ebony magazine every time it came out because it always featured Los Angeles and its beauty 🎉. I thought I would like acting I also had a boyfriend that was a musician we thought we could conquer it together the relationship did not last it was a bust but I stay because that was where I wanted to be, we must talk our story sounds so similar but different I found. my husband there I had a nice home in Carson and I have family that lives out there presently that's into acting as well. I liked that I subscrib,ed I hit notification your story has got to be a beautiful story I can't wait to hear it and compare.

Lived here for 20 years. Leaving in August to an affordable state. Los Angeles in particular has lost the middle class. Homeless everywhere, not what it used to be.

Moon Shadows in Malibu CA is one of my favorites. I've been eating there since 2005. I haven't been there in sometime,,due to my research. At the end of the day Malibu CA has some great places to eat,, beaches to explore and fun people to meet. 🎉🎉

It's crazy to think you have a language barrier in your own country. People shouldn't be forced to get a vaccine, but be forced to speak the language in the country you live in. You shouldn't have to speak Spanish. This is America, where we speak English in this country. English should be the 1st spoken language, 2nd language at the very least.

I really admire your strength and courage, to not be afraid to pursue your dreams, and doing it on your own, most people wouldn’t move so far, without a relative or a support system in town, I certainly don’t know if I could, but I think that with God anything is possible 🙏🏾 so I pray that you will be blessed, and that your dreams will indeed manifest, stay positive and at peace ❤

I am from the Pacific NW and have lived and traveled many places but moved to Orange County CA and now live elsewhere. You pay the price to live in California. It costs so much that a person must work all the time and hardly gets to enjoy it. I refuse to pay more than 2k to rent an apartment. No fridge is the standard here. It’s pretty much cheaper to buy a fridge from Home Depot and get it delivered than to rent an overpriced place that provides a fridge. Roaches live everywhere here. The highest class places can’t even stop them. The newest buildings probably have the least but I wouldn’t know because i’d never pay rent like that.

Actually, you were the wrong color for the area. This exact thing happened to someone else only the lady was racist in person so she just bought a house.

I’ve been living in LA for 7 years now and I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Honestly!!!! However, the apt hunting I can agree, I understand how you feel and have felt. Unfortunately that area with the apt where you thought you had it but didn’t? I knew from the conversation they had with you they weren’t going to give it to you. Before your video went on to say they didn’t. It’s like that there. Be careful yes of many places regarding roaches. I didn’t have that experience I just kind of knew my non negotiables no matter what. Also, Midwest people are AMAZING people!!! ☺️ Hope ur settled in now and enjoying California living!!!! I acted the same way you did when we saw the beaches. ❤️☺️
