Good to hear you had a great summer, The four-cylinder project always brings back good memories are used to ice drag a 440 Rotax on race fuel and other toxic chemicals in a little tubular chassis I weighed about 140 pounds and this four-cylinder rotax monster was killing everybody I could get out of the hole really quick but 15 feet from the 660 Mark he blew by me like I was sitting still and I was always so hopfull that I got him this time for sure and he would whip by me and suck the clothes right off me.... lol . I appreciate your ingenuity and what a cool little shop you got hopefully someday I will have the same I have 13 different sleds that I am selling as a hobby I do have a 2001 SRX ice racer was going to reset last year but in the process of pulling it out front of the deck I pulled my back out so hopefully this year I can get it out got some new things I want to try on it so can’t wait to see how this force on the project comes along checked out the pictures on Instagram very cool take care on the other side of the world God bless and ......Would it be possible for you to do an article on your friends Rotax ignition system and the carburetion love your channel they came out

That's cool! Drag racing is pretty exciting that way, even if the machine isn't optimal for the class there's always that one guy you want to beat or get that tenth faster that you've been so close to. What kind of HP was your engine making? My friends engine has 180 degree ignition, when he got it it had 2 stock ND ignition systems both running waste spark so all 4 cylinders would fire at the same time twice per revolution. I'm pretty sure we discussed the new Ignitech system so that should be in the next video. Thank you for the kind words!

I have little to no doubt that your engine will reflect your skills rather than your ability to wrangle cats...lol.

au mechanic sent me. this looks fascinating. although a 90 degree firing is what I would be most interested in, you should proceed as you see fit. I'm going to watch your other vids and have subscribed. good luck, for what it's worth I hope it work out exactly as you want it to.

Thanks! :) yeah I'm most interested in 90 degrees myself too so I'll definitely try that first. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to pull off building this crank, got it mostly worked out in my head but a couple details still need decision making.

Looking forward. It will be one very wide engine. Would you not consider some sort of tandem arrangement more like Suzuki and Yamaha used in there 2 Stroke MotoGP bikes? I'm rebuilding a Kawasaki H1 500 triple and it's already really wide! I'll enjoy watching regardless. THANKS.

A friend and I have done the tandem thing years ago, search my videos for Double Eagle and you'll find some ride footage :) it's also 880cc but we used fanned motors. We built it from junk basically. It wasn't as fast as we hoped, it is extremely nose heavy turning it into basically a snowplow. With the clutch and recoil starter it's going to be around 85 cm wide. Not very practical but very cool looking ;) It's mostly about the challenge for me, I just want to see if I can actually pull this off. I do plan on racing it and hopefully will be able to compete with my friend's newer liquid cooled rotary valve quad.

firing order 1342 or you thinking different
@Hollaendaren
@Hollaendaren 5 жыл бұрын
I am still trying to figure out if there would be any difference between 1342 or 1324, I've seen both used on 4 cylinder 2-strokes. My main concern is the crank going out of phase or just snapping so I'd want to use whatever is nicest to the crank.

It depends on if you have you crank ay ()%or !*)% if I rember at 90% you will have a power stroke on each compression as memory serves I mite be wrong as the Brain don't work to well after the stroke @@Hollaendaren
