Update on the stripped Delta Monitor shower handle

5 жыл бұрынThis is part 2 of how to fix a stripped Delta Monitor 1700 series shower handle.
A helpful viewer pointed out a flaw in my fix for the handle. The rubber o-ring gasket is supposed to go over the bonnet, not just sitting in the sleeve like I had it. That's what was causing the handle not to fit well in the first place!
So I figured I owed it to all of you to post an update.

Thank you. Oring was driving me crazy! In groove didn't seem to work for me either. Went behind like you, grease and good to go!

The very last thing you do is snap the cover on the hot-cold lever. My question is - that screw you put in right before that comes loose thus making the cap loose in about two weeks time. Twice a month I have to pry off the cap and tighten the screw. Do I use locktite on it or what is the fix for that working loose? My wife likes her shower hot and I like mine cool so it is moved twice a day....
