Poor Yoshi Boshi, allergies can come and go through out tne year, but some unknown new irritant can cause it to flare up. I hope his eyes clear up soon and he feels better, the sweet baby. Clearly cuddles with Meowmy comfort him and taking advantage of the extra snuggles is the only plus rn. ❤

This happened to both my cats recently to the point where you could see their inner eyelids quite a lot. Vet gave us tablets, a syringe with a bottle of medicine and eye drops. Cats hated taking their meds but it cleared up.

It's heartbreaking to see him crying 😢 I really hope that sweet Boshi will get well soon!!

Check his ears, he may have excess wax or a bug in it that's making him like that, and also try to give him some eyedrops (otrovin or something with the same formula) instead of gel for a few days

2 of our furbabies have seasonal allergies: watery eyes, rubbing fur off above them at times, and sneezing on occasion. Our kitties are strictly indoor babies, but we have windows open, so the offensive triggers find their way in every season to find human and kitty akike. We use Homeopet Nose Relief. Poor little Boshi bears 😢 I wish I could dry his kitten tears. My little Hawkeye had a problem with his eye earlier in the summer and it was very scary for us both. He did the exact same thing resting his little head on my hand the whole drive to the vet, and when he was there he was the best boy ever as far as not resisting the vet or even squirming around at all, it made me so proud. Our cats are so much more intelligent than most people could ever imagine! They are not only very smart but incredibly perceptive also, I honestly just keep loving cats more and more with every year that passes. They're just such complex, interesting and beautiful creatures and I feel blessed to have them in my life. I hope that Mr handsome is feeling better, he's really lucky to have humans that love and take care of him so well. And can afford to take him to the vet when he needs to go! It can be really difficult for a lot of people to pay their animals vet bills, as much as they want to but often can't ( which has been me in the past 😢)

Poor muffin! I'm glad you went, even if the result was more or less what you figured -- sometimes just ruling out scarier stuff makes a difference and lets you take a breath! It's nice to have your own knowledge validated, too. You take such good care of these ridiculously funny and sweet kitties! You're making me want an air filter and to vacuum more, though. I live in the city and the fact that washing the INSIDES of windows turns the cloth black... ugh. Your two fluffbeasts are wonderful and beloved by many, so thank you for the update and for showing the videos of symptoms so other people have something to compare it to if they're ever in a similar situation! Not to mention to show the vet. Technology! When my sweet girl of almost 20 years passed, she had cataracts that weren't obvious from regular view (no clouding or other occlusions -- just the fact that she had her "high beams" on all the time was the only visible symptom). She still lived a very full and spoiled life with very few obvious signs that her vision was ever-more impaired. Cats are pretty darned adaptable. Now, 8 years later and I'm seeing it in my senior rescue, which has both let us start tracking it with his vet and has let me make some minor alterations to our lifestyle as his near vision is definitely being affected. He can still spot a spider on the wall, but a treat in front of his face? Nope. 😂 He also can't properly gauge distances while jumping. It just means I have to be careful about moving things around too much, as he uses them to navigate by. Hopefully people are good to you about all of this! I have seasonal allergies (as well as being allergic to cats, of course) and tree pollen really gets to me, but only a few weeks of the year. I can completely sympathize with the Boshi Cat. Dang feisty trees. Of course, during your whole video I was waiting for the reason to turn out to be Eevee-related 😂 "Turns out, she was licking him directly in the eyeball" or other super helpful cat things. (The abx cream shouldn't be too hard to apply, I find it's easiest just to put some on a finger or thumb and then swipe it across the eye, he'll automatically close it and you'll cover the right areas. If you're ever in doubt in the future, especially if you see coloured discharge, Polysporin works as a milder dose that's safe to use on even kitten eyes, so it's very much in the "can't hurt" category. We saw so many eye infections at the cat rescue, and it cleared them up in a few days to a week -- honestly amazing stuff! It's not a replacement for a vet visit, but it's a good in-between measure for owners. It tends to have a longer shelf life, too. I keep it in my cat first aid kit, but like the styptic powder, I think I use it more often on myself 😅.)

Gorgeous cats ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Bath his eyes with cold tea on cotton wool pads... it's the tannin in the tea, really good. I've used it on my cats, dogs, horses & myself. It can be warm... but never hot obviously 💕🐈🐾💕

We used warm/tepid compresses of camomile infusion for any eye problems on our cats. Camomile soothe, is anti-inflammatory and helps clearing out impurities. You can just buy dried up camomile (or organic camomile tea ;) ) and do a light infusion, then use a clean warm cloth and put it on the eye for a couple of minutes. It helps our kitten who had one eye completely gonked up (I did this daily for 5 days). Works wonder for humans too! 😊 hope it can help as well!

My cats Oliver and Thomas use to haver alergies, so I clean with Physiological saline and them antiallerhic lotion. It helps a Lot. Of course you do the right talking with the Vet. Wish Yoshi can get better soon.

My cat has been doing this since birth I noticed given him vitamins every other day has helped..I also noticed this allergy spray from Amazon helped him tremendously..I have noticed since ..I stop using carpet powder and air freshner she is a lot better..Also it also flares up from fragranced kitty litter ..I now have a air purifier in each room seems to be helping also ..Hope that helps get well buddy ❤..Oh yeah try washing blankets and bedding in Castile soap ..

My pup gets allergies as well. It will stop for quite awhile, and then suddenly come up again. I narrowed down his allergies and was remedying them well, but he had a big issues recently. Fortunately his vet was able to provide an allergy shot that last for months, and he's been great since then. I wonder if that is something that Mr. Handsome might be able to get. I really hope he feels better soon! I know how horrible allergies are, and it's just so heartbreaking when your lovies aren't feeling well.

Y'know, if you've changed laundry detergent at all, it could be chemicals in your blankets irritating the eyes. I currently like to use the "All" brand of hypoallergenic laundry detergent in low amounts, since my cats similarly experienced skin allergies from a different brand we had switched to previously.

I had almost the same issue with my ragdoll cat. It was the bathroom spray that caused it. It is pretty strong and the perfume caused the symptoms which were very similar and would come and go too. Ragdolls follow you everywhere including the bathroom!

My cat had a watery eye too and the vet gave us a simple physiological saline,it washes, removes dirt and bacteria on the surface Although there was no visible dirt it helped. I was dropping 2-3 drops a day for 3 days in the eye and no more was needed He is fine now 😊 You could try it, maybe it will help Yoshi too The vet explained that this happens also when the sinuses are stuck and the eye liquid can not be drained and the simple physiological saline may help in this case too
