Taking a quick look at what is left of the former Perryville Outlet Mall. I heard it was demolished, so I dropped by for a quick look.

I just love your videos. You take us to the most interesting places. I always think what a shame it is how wasteful our society is. Lots of that destroyed stuff could have been carefully removed and repurposed elsewhere. But thank you for such exciting outings! And for all the facts and history. These are places most of us could never go.

I live in Maryland and find this channel fascinating. You should look at the Security Square Mall in Woodlawn, MD. I go to school there at the North American Trade Schools and basically the only traffic there during the day is the students from the school. It's not quite abandoned, but there is an interesting story for sure to be told.

Just my thoughts on this Mall,.....it always sucked. Even in its ''heyday'''it was awful. Just the usual junk ''outlet' stores that are in the exact same outlet mall in every other town. Toward the end it wasn't even worth the 2 minutes to get off of Interstate 95 to go there,...and if you were coming from south of the bridge it was either going to cost you $4 or $6 to get there. Just a complete disaster from Day 1. Also,...great channel,..and respect the time and effort you put into these videos..It is hard to believe that so many people would be fascinated by seeing an abandoned Days Inn,...or truckstop in Breezewood Pa.

It was the only place with a GH Bass and an Oshkosh, I don't even know where another GH Bass is since this one is gone.

It was a small outlet mall that was right off I95. I found the Bass, Joseph A Banks, Van Heusen, Nike,some shoe outlet as well as other small shops convenient for someone traveling on that portion of I95 almost every weekend.. I purchased items from the retailers and still have some of those items today. I do not think it was a "destination" outlet mall but rather a mall to attract LD commuters or those on a road trip vacation. Anyway, i enjoyed shopping on cool autumn and winter Friday evenings, One thing is for sure, wont be shoppin there no mo as we say down south.

I remember seeing the giant sign off of I-95 right after the toll gate. Never stopped. Now that it is gone, I don;'t think many people have noticed. Whatever is going on at that prior Days Inn is probably illegal,

I hope that Great Wolf Lodge fails just like the mall. I’m furious that th3 town of Perryville keeps approving zoning changes to allow all this I-95 development because it negatively impacts nearby homeowners like me. How? Everyone’s basement floods now because what was once a wooded area ia now paved concrete. Rainwater has got yo go somewhere and that somewhere is to our homes.

I crew up in the development behing the outlets. We used to walk there really just to hang out and get kicked out for skateboarding. There was never old navy. The only stores people wanted were Rue21 , factory brand shoes , Nike outlet and the cafe. The rest all kinda sucked .there was an LLBean also . Tourist would come here on coach busses from new york mainly Asian families. The place was great in 2000-2005 then just went to crap after Nike left .it's all gone now and torn down as of a few months back.

The NYC owners were trying to force a warehouse here and it was rejected so the owners are just sitting on it since commercial property is kind of a mess right now. They were forced to tear it down because people kept setting fire to stuff and people kept getting hurt climbing onto the roofs and falling in. The fast food place was a Taco Bell/KFC for a long time and has been closed for several years. Even with the truck traffic there was really never a lot of business there and it did get robbed several times. There is some guy that leases the parking lot behind it for truck parking. I have not been down there in a little while but that Days Inn has always been really slow and there is a real nice Days Inn 2 stops south in Aberdeen that is far better. Hell even pilot left and it is an Indian owned gas station now.

Wow great information thanks!! All I ever read was the position of the toll plaza cut business significantly. I convinced my dad to stop here on a road trip once to check it out. He thought I was nuts, but ended up thinking it was pretty cool too. Crazy it’s gone now.

There used to be a Taco Bell and KFC there. I used to go to the Outlets to kill time before going to the VA hospital down the hill.

I would assume with great wolf lodge opening on the side of 95 here that they are preparing this properties for something. Either to sell or to build more places to attract the customers from the great wolf lodge. A awesome adventure park would be great! Rock climbing walls and zip lines etc. Would be great for the area. Also get rid of that toll! Ridiculous. No one is coming from the south and pay a toll just to shop. People coming from the north would stop in Delaware being tax free before driving more to pay sales tax. I can only hope someone has plans for this and it just sits.

I understand that it was demolished to prevent "vandalism" and dangerous behavior. The long term plan is to build warehouses and logistic centers due to the proximity to I-95
@IamCaleum

Kids kept setting stuff on fire in there and multiple people got onto the unstable roofs and fell through so the NYC owners were forced to demolish it or give it to the town.

Maybe the days inn lost it’s franchise, that sign will probably be wrapped with some generic name soon. I stopped their once to check out the big sign and mall briefly. Did not feel like a safe area.

Perryville needs to quit approving all this development. And by the way, Perryville doesn’t need more warehouses because we have far too many as it is.
