I have had a chance to use the Univer-Co grease gun end for a while now. Here are my final thoughts!!

Lock n Lube does make a longer version for tight spaces.

Thanks for the update. LockNLube is the best. I have a Land Pride rear blade that has three grease fittings , all are recessed in the frame about 2 or 3 inches deep. My standard coupler would go onto the fittings no problem but was almost impossible to remove. I bought the LockNLube XL coupler and it works amazingly. Releases from the fittings and reaches them, no problem. I highly recommend them.

100% agree it can't push grease through tuff zerks

You may know this by now, but Lock n Lube has a long version to help get into recessed grease fittings. Ae well, I am in Canada and the Lock n Lube here is $63 from Amazon and the long version is $82. Pretty pricy. Very hard to find it anywhere else up here.

And trying to get the small collar to release after you put some pressure behind it is near impossible. Some fittings are just tight and take pressure to get grease in.

Thanks again. My dewalt 18v just arrived here today, had a 2 person manual gun before. Recently brought in a JCB telehandler and the amount of nipples on that thing and the location of them was reason for opting for a cordeless tool. Am in farming also, so its not just a tele, but tractor , case machine etc. On my own most of the time and can;t keep asking or waiting for people to give me that other hand, ( haven't they enough to be doing? } But with that tele, you're bang on, there are few areas where its tight alright.

You should try the extended length lock n lube. I have the univer co tip on 5 grease guns and love it but i dont have any tight reach locations to grease

I have the Univer-Co coupler but probably only because that’s what my dealer was carrying. My coupler has to be placed straight inline with the zerk or it won’t lock on. This is sometimes an issue in hard to see places.

Thanks for the update! All good stuff to know. We have a lock-n-lube at work and it works great, but we only use it sometimes because most of the time it doesn't fit in areas that are most important.

I use the HFreight locking coupler version for $20 and their black air pressure lube gun (around $25) which works great with a light weight 1/4" air hose. No more pumping and I haven't encountered a zerk fitting it could put grease into. I always have a backup hand gun with a standard coupler and hose since there is always at least one fitting that simply has no clearance.

I've got both the standard and longer locknlube. I'm extremely happy with them. We've got two of the 20v dewalt guns with them on there. Hands down amazing

For the hard to reach fittings there are accessory kits for odd angles and usually come with a short whip end with a standard grease gun tip. All just have a grease fitting on the opposite end to clip into your grease tip or lock n lube. Or you can make your own whip up if you don't need the other special tips. Then just leave the lock n lube on all the time and clip on the extension when you need it.

I commented only a couple minutes ago on your first comparison video. I'll add here that I do keep two grease guns handy, because I know that neither works perfectly in every situation. Both are manually operated pistol grip, so that I can operate the gun even when I'm struggling to hold the grease fitting tight. And, I'm hoping that the Lock n Lube XL solves some of my difficulties with greasing. If I remember, I'll post back here after I've used it for awhile!
