Now that I've had my June Intelligent Oven for almost two years, here's what I think about it.

Very helpful - the cleaning situation is exactly what I was concerned about. I have the Breville so-called smart oven. We've had it for 5 years and it is fantastic, but cleaning it is very difficult - especially the front class. I was looking at the June oven and all those nice demo videos from them, but it almost looks like they use a new oven for each video. Thanks again for the detailed follow up. JB

The new model is supposedly easier to clean. I don't have one to compare.

Christopher, thanks for this updated review. After I ordered my June Oven, I saw your first review and wondered if I made a mistake spending so much on the June. A hint I found on youtube was about putting aluminum foil on the pan that goes into a countertop oven. If I understood you correctly, you have 2 of these pans, one you use and now cover with foil and a new one you are saving for the future. This gal too the pan she wanted to cover with foil and laid it on the counter. Then, she added a piece of foil that was a bit larger than that pan. Then, she took the second pan and laid it right inside the first to sandwich the foil between the two pans. She picked them both up at the same time and used her hand to smooth the foil down and around the edges of the first pan. Then, she removed the top pan, and her foil was perfectly flat and fitted to the pan she would then use for cooking. Just a note, I didn't cancel my order for the June Oven. I will have to wait until mid-December, but I'm excited to get it then. Take care, and happy holidays!

Oh, that's clever. Thanks! I'm still on the original pan. It some some stains, but it hasn't started flaking off or anything. We use foil every time. You're going to love your June. It's a bit of an investment, but it's a really nice oven. I was going to make an update update update video after they announced the 3rd gen, but I didn't have much more to add. It still works, I still like it, it's still a bit hard to clean.

Hi Christopher, Don’t listen to any haters. I found your video very informative and useful to me. I really appreciate that you took the time to provide all that useful information that is helpful to me since I am considering an oven like the June. I am a professional videographer and don’t mind that you did the video simply without using a tripod or all the other things a person could use to get the setup perfect. What is MOST important is you provided a video quickly that was very useful for people like me looking to buy a product like this. And that is all that matters. So I thank you very much for your time and insight! Thank you Christopher!

Helpful, pretty convinced not for us. we have a large instant brend air fryer toaster oven and I have found the similar infrared elements as to this June, do a poor job browning toast, looked like a similar sitch with your pop tart. Our mult function does have and additional round "traditional" element up top and does actually get up to 450. Neat that the just has a probe, but I we dont need the "smart features, esp at a grand for their large model. Does not seem the star trek replicator or jetson stove that would merit such a price tag. can you get some nicely browned toast in it. I have found few reviews that confirm that IR elements don't do the same as traditional elements in these newfangled Easy Bake Ovens, only our experience thus far. I spent 300plus on a toaster that doesn't toast very well, ha! Update, this gal's june review shows it browning toast and bagels pretty well, hmmm maybe I'm using mine IR element toaster incorrectly. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bNxgbM-CxtvWlmg.html

I'm not sure I like the smart features. I would rather figure out the cooking times and temps on my own. It is intriguing though. Would you prefer the June Oven or Breville Smart Oven? I like what you said about it being hard to clean. All of these small ovens are hard to clean. When I see photos of people cooking whole chickens with these kinds of ovens I cringe. For meats I prefer to use my full size oven.

I've given up on trying to make it shiny again -- I clean it to keep it from getting gross and just accept the fact that it's a cooking appliance and it's going to have some baked-on stains. I liked my Breville a lot, but I prefer the June. It's more high-tech, which appeals to me as a gadget nerd. More practically, it is a very well made machine, it heats up quickly and maintains accurate temperatures, the outside stays cool, and the integration of the temperature probe is useful. For us, everything goes into the June by default, and the full size oven is only used for larger items or if the June is already in use. That said, it is extremely rare that we use the smart cooking programs for something like a whole chicken. Not because it can't do them, but because we don't tend to cook that kind of food that way. I'd prefer to cook a chicken in my smoker, or sous vide or grill a steak. The June is more likely to be found roasting vegetables or baking pies.

The only thing that makes this over better than a good quality OSTER , is those 2 convection fans. Other than that it made of the same shit as an oster, cuisinart, etc.

Not that hard to understand. It gets a lot of use making toast and reheating things, but I can count the number of times we've actually roasted a chicken or cooked a piece of fish or steak in it on one hand.
