i think the issue i have with the bowser's inside story remake animations for levelling up is it reuses the ones from dream team/paper jam (which the latter does as well, for a couple parts. but as explained in the video there are more little things they added to paper jam's - an idle for the victory, an idle before the level up, slightly modified level up pose for mario) and even then it removes the little idle movements the other 3ds titles had. also yeah bowser was robbed that "I RULE!" was iconic

Man, Bowser in BiS DX was done DIRTY. They couldn't play an animation during the stat bonus section so they made him do that swiping animation as his level up pose, but that results in this awkward long pause before it finally says "Level Up!" Just give him a new victory animation at that point

If you leave Paper Mario and Mario In Paper Jam standing on the level up screen for a bit longer they'll do an extra animation to spice the dance up

And as someone who literally just finished replaying PiT yesterday, I can say that though the baby animations are incomplete here, I probably wouldn't rank them much differently. Maybe Baby Mario's little hat spin finish on the level up screen would get bonus points, but there's so much more fun stuff to rank above it.

What nets Partners in Time's level up some plus points in my eyes is the sound effect that plays when the Bros. jump worward and the number of their level pops up. It just adds so much oompf and it really feels like you've accomplished something and gotten rewardedly stronger for it. 18:45 "That's the only part that they reuse." Nah man, it takes everything from Dream Team (and so does the Bowser's Inside Story-Remake) except for the glances upward before the stats come in. I would definitely take some points off there. That's also why I would rank the games in order of release instead of the remakes immediately after their originals.

I'd say go for it my man. And hey, maybe by the time you finish up the remakes, Brothership will be out.

Awesome video🎉, In my personal opinion you might as well make a video tier list series about the animations of the Mario and Luigi series. There are so many from: items, jumping, hammer swings, bros attacks from miss to excellent,so on and so forth. I especially would like to see every bros attack from miss to excellent in the series as technically the only video of that nature that exists are the ones from Superstar Saga (There is so much more missing 😢 in the series). Technically you would be the first uploader to do something like, however that is your choice to do that.🤔 (I know that is a lot of work 🙂‍↕️😒) Best of wishes 🎉

Man it’s rough how the BIS remake animations were ripped from Dream Team. They even made them more static too. Kinda funny that you ranked them differently though lol, the vibes were different I suppose

Everyone says the animations for bis remake and dream team are the same, but dream team has a dance while waiting for the stats, while bis remake Dosn't Same with Paper jam, even adding new ones to the victory

So lf you ever make a part 3 just know you missed the little dance that mario and luigi do after you finish a jump action command and the different dances when mario and luigi are infected with status effects so FYI if you end up making a part 3

15:22 fun fact these are just the ripped level up animations from paper jam from what I can remember. They did such a bad job though to the point where they don't even have the animation in between their poses and just keep them idle until they need to move on to the next pose. That is so much worse than just completely ripping from paper jam along with the fact that the other remake of Superstar saga getting the animations redone entirely

I'm pretty sure Bowser's Inside Story DX just reused animations from Dream Team for the level up animations, which is kind of lame especially considering they made them static unlike in the other 3DS games and because they remade most of the other animations for when you were in battle to match the originals. My guess is they just ran out of dev time.

In Mario and Luigi Paper Jam, Paper Luigi was supposed to be playable, just like Mario, Luigi and Pper Mario, but Paper Luigi was scrapped because Alphadream judged it would be annoying to control 4 characters at the same time Why I'm saying that ? Well it confuses me that in Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, you can play as Mario, Luigi, baby Mario and Baby Luigi separately or pair the adults and the baby versions together (I think you can do that in Partners in Time, I don't own the game so I don't know that much about that game, btw tell me if I'm right about the characters in Partners in Time please)
