This is Up Front with Simon Jordan. A new show brought to you by William Hill that pulls no punches and tells it EXACTLY like it is.
James Wade is one of the most iconic names in the modern darts era. A supremely talented ‘leftie’, James burst onto the scene at the age of 24 when he became the youngest player to win a major PDC title. He has since gone on to win a total of 10 major titles but not without his fair share of controversy.
A fiery competitor, it was only a late in life diagnosis of bipolar and ADHD that led to James becoming fully aware of the reasons behind his sometimes erratic behaviour. Now an ambassador for Bipolar UK, James opens up about his incredible career and the bumps in the road along the way.

I must say James really took me a back here, very open , very honest admitting a lot of things which truly I didn’t realise and I have to say much respect to him for that and I wish him well in his career and that he helps his mental health more and more , blessings to him and Simon and to all who read this, we are coming up on a difficult time which is also a magical time depending on how you feel and possibly both . I honestly just want anyone who reads this to know you will be ok and you can make it. I pray you all manage to have a good time at Christmas and are at the very least healthy and in warmth

Seeing interviews like this gives you a better understanding of the individual you don’t nor will not see in an interview post game. Unfortunately it seems James is still struggling at times with his actions after losing games but he is a great darts player to watch when things are going well in his personal life. I hope many people watch this video especially those ( and I am one) who have been very critical about his behaviour at times. I’m glad he was able to and accept help. He obviously has a very loving and supportive family. Glad I watched this.

This is probably the best one you've done Simon... I can relate to so much on this cast, I run a garage Monday to Friday... but sometimes on a Saturday I'll come in and work on my own car's and like James said that is the best part for me and gives me the enthusiasm and drive back that I've lost through the week dealing with absolute idiots. Don't get me wrong most customers are great but the idiots that have watched wheeler dealers that think you can rebuild a car in an hour, because they saw Edd China do it last week lol.. just grates on me now and makes me want to pack it in sometimes. Keep up the good podcasts pal 👍

James was the first player that caught my attention and actually got me tuned into darts , my first ever set of darts I purchased were a replica of his own darts . And I used to try copy his style of throw when I started playing . And ever since I have always rooted for him in any tournament he's participating in. Now after watching this interview I'm truly inspired by his personal life story and all the demons he has faced and how he has come through all of it whilst still being able to be capable of being one of the best players in the world on his day . I really hope James hits a good run of form this year and is back in the mix for some big trophy's because he truly does deserve it ✌️
