I bought an s27i and its the best thing. No idea why people complain about product like this lol. Like the videos work for me here pretty good in Aus with a mere 90 gb connection. Theres the very rare buffering that occurs but who cares..like its so rare. I hear you guys in the states have like 400gb and more connection speeds. People find the smallest things to complain about. It's an amazing product. I couldn't be happier. Absolutely enjoying the scenic rides and the intense workout i get from it.

A little confused as this was a very positive review towards the S27i. I was just pointing out that you do get load times and spinning wheels which I do believe they could get rid of with a little work which would be nice. I also think location plays a big factor on how bad that is (What cloud instance you are connecting to). I have fiber internet and speed is of no issue yet it is still slow to load. An area for improvement is all. Still think is a very much improved bike that a lot of people would really enjoy.

Hahaha! Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, I think a lot of it has to do with the original S22i that a lot of people have. Very mixed results for people and left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. Hopefully these improved models start to change that perception. 😀

Amazing video, thanks. Been waiting on the s27i reviews :) I just got my s27i 1 week ago. It's amazing build quality. Very happy with it. Only complaints I have is the speakers are junk, have no bass. The loud speaker on my phone sounds better. I guess this isn't a huge problem because the radio station music is rubbish. (It's like royalty free pop music or something. Something that sounds familiar, but you never heard it before) But ifit giving you the opportunity to mute the music and just have the trainer volume is what made me choose this over peloton among a bunch of other reasons (outdoor scenic rides, the trainers feel more real and down to earth) just putting on you own playlist on a separate sound system is what I do (an exercise bike doesn't need to do this imo) The other complaint I have is video quality. For the price you pay, the video should be perfect and uninterrupted. When the video stutters for half a second 5-10 times through a 20 min ride, that sucks. ( I would consider it streaming quality 6/10) I've heard it's a software issue and not hardware limitations. (I hope) or even who ever ifit uses to host and stream it's content idk. Ifit needs to fix this. I have no problem with any other devices streaming content in my house

My pleasure and thank you! Something I have learned from my reviews is some people have these problems while other do not at all. It often seems to be location based which makes me think it has to do with what cloud instance you are downloading from. I also think they could probably do a better job with compression and caching on the device (techy stuff). I could be wrong but I don't think it is hardware but how it is coded and designed. This is why I hope we see it improve it over time!

Interesting that you mention stuttering with this new bike. See my comment elsewhere here. That is a very common complaint with these bikes. It seems to be a problem with the bike console in my case, because connecting to iFit and doing a workout using a tablet, even mirroring to the television, does not have this stuttering. That's why I was asking whether this larger, presumably newer monitor might have a better wifi card and connection

Thank you for your review on this bike! I've struggled with finding the "right" bike for me...there's always something (geometry wise) that throws me off. I love the s15i I own (geometry wise--can dial my road bike position and love the 150mm q factor), but it has worked 1/10th of the time that I've owned it. I would love an upgrade...this could be it as I struggled with Peloton. I cannot understand how Peloton is still in business, every bike they've sent me has been defective. crazy. thank you for your reviews.

My pleasure Sean. It really does feel like NordicTrack is trending in the right direction. I used to question all of there products because there were always "concerns", but this bike seems like they decided to take a new approach. Time will tell but hopefully it turns out to be a great long-term option. If you decide to get it, I hope you love it!

Glad to see the speakers are facing front. I always turn my S22i speakers louder so I can hear them better since they face backward.

Thanks Dan! It is a little nicer, but if you already have the S22i, I doubt you would feel the upgrade was worth your time and money. If you don't have anything and need to make a decision between the two... that could be a tough decision to make!

I guess I should put it a different way. He said he loves the S22i he already has. And while I think the S27i is great, if you already love what you got, I am not sure spending 2,500 and assembling a new bike is worth it. The S27i is awesome but that is a lot to spend if you are already happy with what you got.

@@Learnwithtravis Travis, couldn't agree more my friend. I didn't mean to come across so bluntly. I didn't buy the S22i because of you and I'm glad I didn't due to concerns. I was very encouraged w/your new review on S27i. It's a lot of $$$ (an investment) for sure. Again, I am sorry, but I want to make sure that before I drop $2500+ (w/inflation and all) that I am doing the right thing and making a great choice. I hope you can appreciate what I'm saying? Thanks again for a great and very encouraging review.

All good! I was not offended. 😀 Hopefully your patience paid off and if you get it you are getting a much better unit than you would have earlier. One thing I wonder but don’t know is if the upgraded S22i has a lot of those same improvements but smaller monitor for a better price. I assume so but don’t know. Either way, whatever route you decide to go with, I hope it works out great!

My wife and I are looking to add an indoor machine like this. I've been researching what's out there right now and I am torn between this S27i and the Bike+, I really don't want to spend upwards of $2500-3000 to experience some of the horror stories I've read about regarding customer experience, apps crashing, connectivity issues, return policy, etc for NordicTrack products. But I've seen many positive reviews and videos as well, so it's hard to gauge the risk. But I know that I would only ever do outdoor videos on the S27i, whereas I question if I could stay interested in the studio classes on the Bike+ as one of the reasons we are looking to get a new machine is to break up the monotony of only having an elliptical. And since our main outdoor exercise is hiking in the mountains, having those outdoor classes makes the risk seem more palatable. I've also seen the growth from the first videos I saw about NordicTrack bikes to the ones now, everyone recognizes the massive improvements, or at least the appearance of so. They also had new board members instated, which hopefully means more commitment to quality and improving customer service in all forms and app/ui responsiveness. Decisions, decisions!

It is tough. I made many videos pointing out my concerns with iFIT products. I will say it seems like they have come a long ways but I don't blame you for still having concerns. When it comes to decisions like this, I usually recommend going with what you will enjoy... not the safe option. You are spending too much money to "go safe" not enjoy and not use it. You want the option that will keep you coming back and it sounds like that is a NordicTrack bike for you. By all means, go with your gut but maybe that helps a little. Good luck with your decision!

I just took the plunge and got the S27i, specifically for the outdoor trails and the auto incline and intensity function. My friend has the Peloton. I think they are very similar in construction, but to me it boiled down to what type of rides you will mostly do. Also, I like that the S27i has the dual pedals. Peloton does not

I bought this one and arrived with a cracked screen back in december customer service is terrible 0 response, they ocassionally pick the phone and promise to send updates that I never receive it is crazy and frustrating, if I ever get this issue resolved I will update this comment thus far if I had the chance I would not have purchased an expensive bike they do not stand behind go online and find that this is the experience of so many of us that fell in love with the big screen and the decline and incline option for something that does not work rather have the simplest one. Not good buddy good luck if you purchase this one.

Thank you! I meant to bring that up! It is much improved over the initial S22i model I had. You can still hear it but really not that bad at all.

Thank you for all your reviews! They've helped me make up my mind on which bike I'd like to get but I do have one more question. Does Nordictrack have regular sales? I know in the States you can get 0% financing but that doesn't seem to be an option here in Canada so I'd have to cough up the $3200 CAD for this bike in cash or credit up front. Being able to offset this with a sale would definitely help.

My pleasure Kailyn! So glad to hear the videos have helped out. NordicTrack does run deals from time to time, but it does not seem like they do for top tier products as often. If you are looking at the S27i, my guess is that the first chance to get a better deal might be Black Friday (I could be completely wrong). I do think they are looking at the possibility of including a free gift with purchase of that model, so it might be worth waiting to see if that happens. Hope that helps!

My pleasure and thank you so much Brian! Not as designed. I think people used to leave the NordicTrack UI and load their own stuff, but I also believe NordicTrack has done things to make this harder.

I'd like to know if there a better wifi card inside this monitor. For example, can it connect over 5g wifi and how stable is the connection? Any chance you can see if this monitor can be mounted on the newer S22i and if the connections are compatible?

Just got to doing a quick test. Where my bikes are located, my 5g wifi is just starting to struggle. The S27i connected up and seemed to work fine. Switching screens and jumping around the UI. I have no idea what card they used but it seemed to work fine for my quick test.

No problem. 5g Wi-Fi does not travel as far so if you are in the edge of connectivity it might not work as well as you expect.

I ordered the S27i. Looks nothing like the bike you have in the video. It has the S27i label, but no water bottle holder in the center, and the weights are in the front like the S22i. Any ideas?

Does it match what NordicTrack has on their website? They love to make changes through the year so even though the model name stays the same, there a lot of different versions.

Do you have any issues with the screen being 27"? Do you feel like it is a good size or do you feel like you are sitting to close to a big tv screen?

I actually really liked it. I know what you mean by too large of a screen and I did not get that feeling at all. Seemed to work really well for the experience.

The screen looks massive when you first install it and when looking at it on the bike. But it is amazing when doing the geographic rides; that's when you appreciate how nice and big it is!

The only complaint i have with this bike is the seat. I am literally bruised from it. They dont sell different replacement seats and this one has no padding and is super slim.

You can but an aftermarket seat that you like, or wear biker shorts that now have gel padding.

I have not tested that model so I am a little uninformed, but I believe so. Very close experience with a slightly smaller screen and better price point.

What about adjusting saddle distance from handlebars? S22i is a nightmare for too short and too tall people.

This is perfect in every way apart from one…it’s a nordictrack; which means it has a good chance of breaking down and then being a total nightmare to get them to fix it

Just pray you never need a response from ifit! I bought an S22i in January and asked for help through their support line…. 2 months later I eventually got a response. Only interested in selling their products and subscriptions then when they have your money… nada!! Just be aware.
